No pressure though.Hope he ends up better than Saka or Salah.
That’s what we need.

I think (hope)that he’s been slightly misused as a transition winger in what are some abysmal teams (Troyes and Burnley, both relegated).I thought this came through on his highlight videos.
Often does a good dribble and shifts away from his man but doesn't fully get away and then the clip cuts off, presumably because he gets tackled.
He doesn't strike me as a winger than leaves defenders for dead over long distances but more the type that will drive into the box and be dangerous in tight spaces, win penalties etc.
Way too many pages on the new guy. Highlights why we are where we are.

I saw him last season and said he looked a player. Even a gooner it is my misfortune to know said he liked him. But I take your point I notice a few people only watch their team. I do try to watch live the top, the middle and the button sides in the EPL every season just to get a feel for the overall quality. Usual three games a season of the three levels. Most of this board had zero idea he was even alive until we signed him. That’s probably a good thing, we’re fans the people who run things are supposed to be far more informed than us.
We sign a lot of these young players and our hit rate is pretty low. But some of them do come off and we can only hope this lad is one of them.
Time will tell.
Highly unlikely if we're honestHope he ends up better than Saka or Salah.

That would be lovely.Hope he ends up better than Saka or Salah.

That doesn't sound like us at all tbh. Are you sure you're not confusing us with Brighton? That would be lovely.
The problem is though we'd then sell him for a massive profit before he achieved anything meaningful with us.
That's our modus operandi.

Damn, a whole 2 in a decade, last one being sold around 8 years ago. Sure sounds like something we do regularly.
Actually, we have a habit of pillaging relegated / championship clubs for their promising youngsters. Can you name me the last one that reached Saka / Salah levels and won something with us before being sold for a hefty profit?
Maybe I'm missing something here. My memory ain't what it used to be..
Yeah. But which of all these numerous punts reach the levels of Saka and Salah, as the poster alluded to?Damn, a whole 2 in a decade, last one being sold around 8 years ago. Sure sounds like something we do regularly.
Son, obviously.Yeah. But which of all these numerous punts reach the levels of Saka and Salah, as the poster alluded to?
The only ones that did were sold for profit before they won with us
IF this guy reaches that level, do you honestly believe we'll sign the quality of player that would keep him happy at Spurs and give him the confidence he'll achieve his goals here??....Like we did(nt) with Kane?
Of course you don't.
For about 10 years we did with kane.Yeah. But which of all these numerous punts reach the levels of Saka and Salah, as the poster alluded to?

He got beaten by Leicester to a prem titleThe only time he blew it was the CL final. All the other times it was the players and management that let him down.
