We're not getting Gomes 😂

But a busy athletic central midfielder to replace Skipp would be great.

To replace Hojberg, Lo Celso and Skipp with Gray, Bergvall and a new signing would be incredible squad building

Why not imagine the player would want to come and if we can shift Skipp, GLC for 25/30m combined I don’t see why we couldn’t get Gomes or someone like him

Why wouldn't we be getting Gomes? I'm not challenging your assertion, just unaware of the reasons why we couldn't.

No credible links (sure, none to Odobert either but he's a 19 year old Championship player, not a starting Prem Brazil International)

Wolves don't want rid, he doesn't want to leave and would likely cost 60m+and I don't see us spending that much on him.

We wouldn't even go to 40m+ on Gallagher and his club quite literally wanted rid of him.

We would be best off just reigniting our interest in Ederson from Atalanta

I don’t see the need for Wolves to see Joao Gomes, however I think he’d be a very good signing.

If he was the target we’d finish our midfield with the below as positional option.

(6) Bentancur, Bissouma, Gray
(8) Bentancur, Sarr, Gomes, Bergvall
(10) Maddison, Bergvall, Kulusevski

Would have a very strong midfield.

We are seemingly light in terms of Experienced Central midfielders.. Bissouma and Bentancur. One injury to them and we are putting a lot of pressure on these young players.
(Sarr has played a decent amount but not quite there yet)

None other than Bentancur has played a significant amount of European football.

We need a another 100%

Ederson has always looked so elite every time I watch Atalanta. Can’t tell if it’s the system or him.

Certainly sounds like we have a plan.
You say that but a year ago we were forced to let Doherty go because we had to many players out on loan.

Granted that was under a different structure, yet I still feel like we’re a step away from

Whether you believe him or not, O'Keefe said we cooled our interest on Ederson as we felt we were currently fine in the 6 position with Bissouma Bentancur and potentially Gray and he was on the 6 list.

But whenever I've watched Ederson, I see him as basically a better Gallagher. More of an 8 who gets absolutely everywhere on the pitch.

That's a proper fee, well done Spurs. And well done Leicester for recognising him, he is worth that to you and what you require.

Leicester get a top professional in return, a player that will give every ounce, every game the moment he puts on the shirt. Humble and honest lad.

I'm going to miss him that's for sure. Had huge promise when stepped up from the academy into the first team, not once letting us down. Without a doubt, his injury(ies) slowed his development and following his surgery (and what seemed like even more bad luck for him the infection he picked up following it) he never kicked on in the way many thought he would. Nonetheless, he has been a solid pick and unlike 90% of players who leave us, I will remain following his career with interest.

The only shame is he'll probably be playing championship football next season.

Cheers mate.
