There was some report a few days back that Devine's going out on loan., And I don't think Gray will have a fixed role in the squad this season. Think he'll play some games at right back, some games in the 8, maybe some in the 6. Just to get him a hefty amount of minutes as he's still a young boy.
From that perspective, with the amount of games we hope to play this season. I think we'd be thin without another quality option there.
However, if your opinion is that a backup keeper, or another left footed defender should be of higher concern.. Then I can't necessarily say you're wrong.

Skipp leaving will mean another midfield addition and I suspect it'll be one with experience. Ange brought Mooy in his second season at Celtic and he had a big impact. Unfortunately both Mooy and Kroos are retired, so we'll probably have to settle for Valverde though.
Maybe they'll take Merson as a commentator. Or binman. Anything.
