How much dross remains? Reguillon, Lo celso, Davies? Alot of those now are not up to it but at the same time not completely useless

Because we don’t leak what we are doing.
Thanks, that pretty much endorses what I was saying in my post to Richardarlison. Go with a smaller registered squad and use the youngsters. From our preseason showings, they'd likely do very well.Yes, but he's eligible for the B list so he just doesn't need to be registered.
No, he wasn't.
that’s not a reason we can’t sign Gomes though.
Since Postecoglou joined us we have permanently signed:
Porro and Kulusevski aren’t Ange signingsSince Postecoglou joined us we have permanently signed:
Vicario £17M
Porro £35M
Van de Ven £40M
Dragusin £21M
Phillips £2M
Gray £40M
Bergvall £8.5M
Maddison £40M
Kulusevski £30M (we paid 10M euros for his loan and then another 35M euros to make it permanent last summer)
Solanke £65M
Odobert £30M
Yang £3M
Johnson £50M
Veliz £13M
-----------------
TOTAL £392M
Yes he played well there but he was used as a left wing back at times.
I didn’t say we can’t. I said we won’t. I’d take him in a minute to be honest as I think he does a bit of everything as a midfielder. He’s a hardy wee fucker too.that’s not a reason we can’t sign Gomes though.
It’s a reason the latest ITK is waffle, I’m with you there but it’s not confirmatory of anything either way
No - but I said the club purchased them after he joined us last summer. Both those players were signed permanently last summer window and we starting paying fees for them then. It is about what we have spent not who he has personally signed.
About 170 back. With a bit more due for Reg and Celso. Call it 200m.Since Postecoglou joined us we have permanently signed:
Vicario £17M
Porro £35M
Van de Ven £40M
Dragusin £21M

You are probably right it will be someone from left field that nobody saw comingI didn’t say we can’t. I said we won’t. I’d take him in a minute to be honest as I think he does a bit of everything as a midfielder. He’s a hardy wee fucker too.
Davies is loyal and reliable and a fine squad player in my bookHow much dross remains? Reguillon, Lo celso, Davies? Alot of those now are not up to it but at the same time not completely useless
Tbh I think it’s better to count players signed for the project not accounting quirks like loan to buy players from previous projects. No - but I said the club purchased them after he joined us last summer. Both those players were signed permanently last summer window and we starting paying fees for them then. It is about what we have spent not who he has personally signed.
Similar with Bergvall - the agreement was made on Feb 2nd 2024. But he signed permanently for us on 1st July 2024 - this window.
You cannot argue with the basic facts of when someone was signed (and when a fee needed to start being paid)
The fact is that we have signed players in deals worth nearly £400M since Postecoglou became our manager last year.
He had a few ok moments.Yes he played well there but he was used as a left wing back at times.
100m net per year is the least we should be doing with all the FFP/PSR room we have, new stadium etc.About 170 back. With a bit more due for Reg and Celso. Call it 200m.
Pretty good work really.
Whereas Woolwich have spent 700m in almost 5 yrs that Arteta has been there. Not that much more than 70m if that. Also paid off 6 high earners. Ozil, Auba etc.
Gomes of Wolves, midfield, is in our sights apparently.
He’s getting to the stage of being a man down. Get the deadwood out it’s the only way to improve. No room for sentimentDavies is loyal and reliable and a fine squad player in my book
Gray will be our #6 eventually. We won’t be spending 100m on Wharton. Can see us getting a new CM in but not necessarily a 6.
Wonder if we'll see it through, get rid of Bissouma (and potentially Bentancur) next season and go huge on Wharton
