Mikey Moore looks the most likely but there are definitely other candidates to at least end up 50m players. I can't remember a time when this many players coming out of the academy looked like they could be serious players.

Ange specifically wants an 8. We haven't been linked to a single 6 all summer.
Fully agree on Gray and IMO it will be sooner than a lot of people expect but I'm bullish on the boy Gray. I don't think anyone needs me to say again how happy I was that we signed him.
Bergvall maybe gets a mention for #6 because him and his last clubs sporting director said they think he could be a 6. From what we've seen so far he's got so much going forward that he's surely one of our 2 #8s when he plays and eventually nails down one of the starting roles.

I think they want another ball- winner but just not the way we think of a #6. Gallagher/Gomes type of player.
We had a look at Ugarte at PSG early in the window, I think we would upgrade on Biss if we could but the likes of Lavia and Caicedo moving for monster fees last summer kind of shows there's not great value in the market in that position atm.
The 6 is a horrible market this summer.
I have no doubt it's a position we'll be scouting at throughout the season though unless Gray storms it by the end.

Not really news is it? Also hasn’t Ange said that he doesn’t want a traditional 6
I didn't realise he'd said that, but it makes sense given our tactical setup. Bergvall and Gray can do the job as 6/8-type players who can tackle* and get good balls forward.
* If you can call Bergvall's ankle-breakers tackling.

We can’t play with a traditional sitting DM anyway because they have to run about like fuck filling in the cavernous spaces our tactics leave open in front of and behind the fullbacks.
