The ITK had a look at Ugarte earlier in the window. There is no suggestion by credible sources that Spurs looked at him.

Vuskovic is right-footed. I don't think he'll be the Davies replacement.
He does have one at least when we are building from from deep in Bissouma/Bentancur and potentially Gray as they need to fit the Carrick type of someone who can progress from the ball from deep with passing or running but we are stacked there already, why would we buy another Gray or Bissouma. We certainly don’t play a traditional DM who just sits after progressing the ball, they involve themselves higher up.
Links to Gallagher, Joao, Ederson suggest he wants a high energy midfielder to break up play high up the pitch by pressing hard. For me this would be competition with Sarr more than anyone else who currently fills that role or is closest to it which makes sense as we cannot rely on Sarr running all over the pitch for the whole season.

If we split them that way the I can see why he still thinks we need a player who can win the ball and crash the box because Sarr is really our only one. Bentancur could maybe do it but he's athletically more suited to the first role, even if he does love to press.
