We'll be alright this season, as long as neither Udogie or Vicario are out for an extended period of time.

Nervous Key And Peele GIF

I guess Liverpool entitled to make an opportunity signing if they wish.
Chiesa is a good signing, our signings have been made for something to develop in 5 years time.

I don't think Odobert, Gray & Bergvall have been bought for a combined £75mil just so they might be good in 5 years, these are 3 of the best of their age group in the world.

if you've seen Chiesa in the past 3 years, you'd know you're describing 2021 Chiesa.

I have a rule of thumb that says if a supposed elite club is actively letting a player in their supposed prime go, then your first question should be, what's wrong with him?

Juventus aren't a bunch of idiots, this reminds me of when Liverpool bought Thiago off Bayern. Big sexy name signed to much fanfare, but now he's retired at just 33.
we will see. i hope youre right and hes fucked, its going to be hugely disappointing if he turns out to be a good buy for them.

the italian clubs have been fucked for years, juventus still in debt over ronaldo. this isnt juventus of early 00s.

a healthy chiesa is a better footballer than any winger we have.

and you honestly think that Juventus would sell a healthy Chiesa for peanuts?

Juventus even in their terrible state, still got Aston Villa's (who are going into the CL for the FIRST time btw) best player from last season for £50mil, financial pressures or not, Douglas Luiz still found it an attractive move.

It's a no risk move from Liverpool's perspective. They've already got an abundance of quality in his position and I suspect it's a partial fix for next season if Salah walks next summer.

Just to get this thread back on track from the pointless arguing. What is the percentage chance we sign another player this window?

I’m going with 20%. All links are dry and it seems there’s very little movement elsewhere. Obviously deadline day always contains a surprise but things seem done at this point.

What do other people think?
We’re done.

dont know his situation at juventus, it sounds like he wanted out.

we will see how it plays out, if hes a success then weve fucked up simple as, for the money he cost it was well worth the punt. lets just fucking hope that hes seriously fucked physically. because if he isnt thats a direct rival thats got an absolute snip there. weve just spunked 50m on brennan johnson! id rather take a gamble on chiesa being fit or not for that.

I just get the feeling that we’d like a leftie defender but the ones we like are not available or injured like Locko.

£13m for a Chiesa who could be a genuine gamechanger. Probably wanted decent wages tho, so Levy preferred to sign kids and prospects on a fraction of what the likes of Chiesa would demand.

Exhibit A for why this club never wins anything.

To be fair Liverpool will make up the top three, along with city and Woolwich, so if he does play well then it's the cherry on the top thing.
