We need 90+ goals to win the premier league
80+ for top 4.

Solanke doesn't need to be a 30+ goal a season striker.

Solanke 17
Son 17
Richarlison 10
Madds 10
Kulu 8
Johnson 8
Odobert 5
Werner 4
Bentencaur 3
Romero 4
Porro 3
Udogie 2

That takes us to 91 goals. Can Bergvall,Biss, VDV add a few more to the tally?
Last season we missed out on 4th by just two points. We lost 12 games, and scored 74 goals but conceded 61.

If we conceded just ONE goal less (or scored one more) in the home game v Villa we'd have drawn. But the knock on means we'd have had 67 points, Villa would have had 66. And we'd have been 4th.

It's not as dramatic a gap as you think. The gap to 3rd was huge of course, but not to 4th. Small margins.

What a ridiculous post, how can you assume these figures?

I'm not sure they are ridiculous.

Solanke - If he is our main striker; no reason why he shouldn't be hitting 15+ goals.
Son - Always scores a shed load of goals.
Richy - Got 11 goals last season in just 1400 minutes.
Madds - If he stays fit all season, 10 goals would be a decent target for him
Kulu / Johnson - Both have a very keen eye for goal; and scoring 8 in a season would be on the low end for a attacking player.
Werner - Again, a backup attacker who will likely get minutes against tired legs towards the end of games. 4 goals doesn't seem unrealistic.
Odobert - With our attacking set up, our wingers should be expected to pitch in with goals.

You can’t predict how many goals a player will score …silly….let alone every player. It’s not fantasy football for Gods sake.

Or beaten Man City at home like we normally do

He was just making a point that it's totally do-able to spread goals around a team so you don't need a golden boot winner to win a title.
Arse had the same GD as City and scored a whopping 5 less.
Saka was their top scorer. If he got 5 more, he'd still have been 5 behind Haaland and only on 21

IMO, spreading your goals is a more stable plan than relying on a finisher. But we all want the glammer of a golden boot race.

I think the biggest obstacle to us winning the league is our defence (which Ange has no intention of addressing).
