There is a reason. Huge wages and never been the same since cruciate injury. Liverpool have got those wages for 4 years. For £12M I guess it’s not a bad price for a backup player who is a proven international

If you think Gray, Bergvall and Odobert are a minuscule improvement over Skipp, Hojbjerg and Solomon/Gil, you need to start watching a different sport.Really below average window. The floor didn’t raise as much as it needed to, at all. Okay we got a lot of outgoings but that should have been a given
We’re seriously gambling on some breakouts from our young players, as well as no injuries to our defence. Super risky
That’s the logical assumption, but not what happens in practice. In 25 hours from nowNearly there now, just over 24 hours and then none of this shit for 4 months

No it’s tomorrow at 11pm
Put another way, that’s a group of 18, 18, and 19 year olds. Yes they seem to be big talents but he’s absolutely spot on to say it’s a big risk to rely on them to be key contributors over a full season. It is incredibly risky in the short term, even if they all turn out to be mint long term.If you think Gray, Bergvall and Odobert are a minuscule improvement over Skipp, Hojbjerg and Solomon/Gil, you need to start watching a different sport.
How do you read minuscule improvement from what he said?? Where did he use those words?? Just more myopic top fan bullshit. If you think Gray, Bergvall and Odobert are a minuscule improvement over Skipp, Hojbjerg and Solomon/Gil, you need to start watching a different sport.
their current status is that of squad players and none of them are a lock for the 1st XI. Odobert is the closest which makes sense as he actually has a full season of prem football under his belt and we’re not that talented out wide.Put another way, that’s a group of 18, 18, and 19 year olds. What he said was:

Btw, all 3 players you named were backups, so we have improvements over the backups in 2 18 year olds and a 19 year old but the actual level of the starting XI has only been improved with Solanke and as he also mentioned which you very conveniently chose to ignore in your rush to be validated as a top fan, an injury to VDV or Udogie and we're fucked again like we were last season and it still hasn't been addressed.

As of tonight, we still have Reggie as emergency cover for LB for domestic ties.
When the window opened, nobody would have considered those 3 plus Solanke a respectable outcome considering our financial strength and FFP advantage....and how we bombed so alarmingly last season with no European or domestic cup interest. If you think Gray, Bergvall and Odobert are a minuscule improvement over Skipp, Hojbjerg and Solomon/Gil, you need to start watching a different sport.
Perhaps he’ll build us a stadium…..Less than 24 hours for Levy to salvage some kind of self respect.
You should have really taken in what was said before you came charging at me like a bull. How do you read minuscule improvement from what he said?? Where did he use those words?? Just more myopic top fan bullshit.

Honestly the player I wanted as an upgrade on Davies was Lloyd Kelly, but he chose Newcastle. I think VDV at LB is another temporary solution until the right player “who wants to play for Tottenham Hotspur” (Ange’s words not mine) comes along.Spence is an improvement on the FB depth. Gray also gives us more depth at FB.
No denying it though, Davies at LCB is a massive step down from VDV and Dragusin is much better suited to Romero’s role of aggressive front foot CB. Not getting the depth sorted at LCB/LB might be a mistake.
