There’s zero chance he will be spiky with fans imo.

He’s spikey with media atm because he’s not stupid enough to not understand the intended answers behind some of the questions coming his way. The media want to walk you into certain traps to get their stories everywhere in the world.

Watch whole press conferences or get manipulated by the clips chosen and the tone of the copy written for social media is where v we are at right now. I’m willing to bet that other questions and answers in that PC were more jovial. Same as the pre game PC.

And like I said, you'd want to be seeing that happen within the next 5,6,7 games, otherwise the season is in serious danger of being gone.

I don’t think it’s a huge statement to say his managerial career with us lives and dies on Solanke banging in nearly 20 league goals this season.

He won't be the next sacking, Dyche and O ' Neil are much closer to their respective doors. If there were odds for him getting sacked by Christmas that'd be a fair bet.
 
Ange has been proving people wrong all his life so its nothing knew for him. Just such a shame that our own fans have resorted to insulting him every day now on here. I saw someone call him "the Fat Aussie" yesterday. That poster didn't sound like someone who wants Ange to turn it around and succeed. That sounded like someone who now just wants him to fail so they can come on here and double down on their abuse.

Nice defence but this is the real world. Postecoglou backs himself which is fine but it's not good enough to see standard mistakes and what looks like stagnation.

Someone posted that he should get 10-12 games, well Saturday is game 6.

I think we should all expect to see clear signs of mentality shift and cohesion soon or hmmmm...

We have to remember that Ange was most likely 5th choice on Levy's list to replace Conte.......Alonso and Nagelsman said no, Tuchel went to Bayern, Levy refused to pay Slot's release clause. Should we be surprised with what is happening with a guy who came from one of tne top two in the SPL and doesn't have too much top level experience despite a long career?

Yes Levy can sack Ange but you have to wonder if anyone decent will want the job or the club is prepared to pay big in terms of release clause payout. Most likely Levy will go for someone out of work like Tuchel, Southgate or Potter.

There was visible improvements in number of results and number of games passed without defeat. Games 8/9 and 34/35 were the only time he lost back to back games.

Compared to Ange, who lost 3 and 4 back to back. 3 was actually 4 of 5 with the 4th being a last second equaliser at City. 4 on the spin was the first time in over 2 decades any Spurs manager lost 4 in a row. That itself was 5 losses in 6, punched by a win against a relegated side.

As I said, I wasn't overly impressed with Poch.
But his results and general improvement as the season went on is nothing like watching Spurs being flushed down an aussie shitter.

Poch didn't have the run of games that Ange did.

Ange also, after GW 15 and 4 losses out of 5 only lost 2 of the next 10

Different seasons, different order of fixtures in which, Poch's last 10 results were awful and didn't show progress with less PPG than the previous 10 and the same PPG from the first 10 including not being able to win against shite like Stoke, Burnley and Southampton.

Ultimately, IMO there are quite a few similarities despite the horrendous run at the end of last season.

The next few games will tell us for sure whether we can move forward with this guy or not. We can both continue to find patterns that fit our narrative I'm sure but Ange still got more points and scored more goals than Poch in their first seasons and their PPG games in the last 10 of their first seasons and first 4 of their second are identical despite Poch having easier fixtures to contend with.
