You really seem to argue more with yourself than with others. All I've seen been pointed out regarding that was - Howe had very difficult season, partly due to injuries.
Then someone said that "but we had injuries too". And discussion went - who had worse injury history. And it was Newcastle.

People were just pointing out that they had it even more difficult.

So what with that 34 to go? You seem just quite an average troll here. Anything could happen and we could not argue over the future. We'll see how that goes on, right now the fact "but it could be better" is not an argument but a wish.

Even if Newcastle had more impactful injuries, and if all other things were the same, and injuries were the only factors that differed, you would expect that we would finish above them, and we did.

The team hasn't been far off winning in the first four games so its possible things could turn around.

Hmmm. Which of these injured first team players have no future here: Van Den Venn, Bissouma, Bentacur, Sarr, Udogie, Maddison, Richarlison?

What impresses me te most is people always complaining about the board's signings while every player the last managers decided to buy failed. Richarlison, Johnson, Lo Celso, Ndombele and so on. Now we have Solanke, I hope he succeed, but people are already trying to find ways to blame the board again.

That being said, Levy is the ultimate problem at this club but I would argue our current manager has been backed with the players he wants (he has said so himself and he said the other day he speaks honestly so unless he's a bullshitter I have to trust what he says.)

I would argue Ange has been backed, Conte wasn't imo like many other managers before him.

Really can’t be arsed with the “backed” debate. No manager gets what they need for short term results here.

Ancelotti would have exactly the same issues with fans here as any other coach. Once the short term buzz dies down and it becomes about mastering their system and way of playing, fans would get frustrated and start complaining about the system and how the players don’t fit.

We’ve seen it so many times before.

To table "Total days lost to injuries" which also includes LENGTH of the injury, not just number of injuries. Cause in your table missing 1 game with sprained ankle is equal to breaking both of calves, but impact of those injuries is vastly different.

There you can see - Newcastle 1950 days, Tottenham 1402 days. That is 28% difference. Between quarter and one third worse. And that does not include full season ban for their record signing (nothing alike for us during past season).

So any way you look at it, Newcastle had it MUCH worse.

Depends on which players got Injured.

Newcastle could’ve lost their reserve keeper for the season and that doubled their minutes lost. Meanwhile their main guys line Bruno, Isak, Gordon etc were fit more than ours

Isak, Gordon, Barnes- I really have no idea why Levy didn't try to purchase any of these players. Barnes would have been very handy in our attacking rotation. Gordon especially too my god. What a fucking missed opportunity.

Just randomly bitching though don't mind me.

Isak was 70m +. We’ve still not spent that on a player. He’s probably on Son/Kane wages already too.

Bruno is also on mega wages but definitely within our range.

Gordon we need to hold hands up and say fair play because Paratici looked at him but the club/Conte weren’t interested. Newcastle paid the money and got him. We could’ve too:

I still remember the responses I got when I said I definitely wanted us to sign Gordon.
