On reflection, something i take away from the game is that we went back to the early season approach of last year, where we go like absolute maniacs in the first 30 minutes or so (there were exceptions, but I felt that's what we were doing in most of Ange's early games).

The problem with that is that there isn't much energy left towards the end of the game - BUT, that's where subs come in. With the likes of Bissouma, Sarr, Gray, Odobert, Spence, Richy (?) from the bench, there is plenty of energy that can be added in the last 20 minutes. I thought Ange did pretty well with subs today.

The games v Utd and Brighton will let us know if we have turned a corner. They are two, top ten teams. We have lost against both previous top ten opponents this season. It will be exciting to see if we can keep up today's approach against those better teams.

No, unlike some of the other anti-football mobs they tried to play football actual tried to entertain, which football is supposed be an entertainment business……The stokes, West Brom’s & Leicester city’s of the world can do one…….. :ange-confused:
Brentford had some really good chances. If we had been unlucky they could have walked away with something. We could also have been 4 or 5 up at halftime.

Looking forward to seeing some threads breaking down the tactical changes today from Ange.

Looked to me like Maddison moved further forward and floated to the left which meant Son was closer to Solanke. Udogie and Porro most definitely weren't as inverted either.

overall the passing was better and movement off the ball was great.

The high press once again was excellent.

Kulu and Madders are learning to play off each other. Both top class.

Players still struggling with confidence trending in a positive direction

Has anyone seen a heat map yet ? Seems like Ange had Sonny and Johnson more centrally in the attack. Maddison out wide a bit more.
