Thought Solanke did a great job holding up play and trying to link play with the other forwards.Just did a re-Watch. Solanke was actually great in this game and his football IQ and pressing has me impressed. I wasn’t sure about him but had an open mind coming into the season, but he was constantly in the right spot for a striker. Had a couple somewhat unlucky deflections or he might have bagged another.
He was also in perfect position for a cross on Brennan’s goal (amazing strike, but a perfect cross would have been a goal as well with Solanke’s positioning).
I’m cautiously optimistic that he’s going to be worth the money.
