Nah, being sensitive melts makes bantering us easy for people.

Woolwich fans are easy to banter because they are insufferable online and come across like babies every chance they get.

Their own fan TV made huge amounts of money on how pathetic their fans are.

Same is true for a significant section of our fanbase, looking to jump on the bandwagon of negativity because they care more about shitting on the club, players and manager than actually supporting the team.

Losers who do it, losers who defend it.

Lol fucking bullshit. Most of the crap I get from oppo mates is just ‘you guys are so happy to just get top four and not win, no ambition!’ - if anything they think our fans are little fucking bitches lapping it up!!!!

Woolwich yes because AFTV got HUUUUGE and laughed at but that’s completely different. Spurs don’t have that rep at all. Chelsea have Rory, United have goldbridge etc. We have expressions who is mostly known for being funny, not a melt.

Our fans/club are easy to banter because we are top 6 with a huge stadium and yet haven’t won anything since 2008 and that was a fucking league cup.

Absolute joke you are trying to place blame on our fans for our banter status. In the real world top 6 clubs get bantered if they don’t win a cup for a few years!

I swear some of y’all live in La La land. All the other clubs get bantered for trophy droughts. Liverpool get bantered for only winning one league during a good period ffs.

The only reason Newcastle, Villa etc don’t cop it is because nobody cares about them. They aren’t traditional top 6, their fanbases are comparatively small and they spent ages in the wilderness.

We get it for being the upstart who thinks they’re in the big 6 but haven’t won anything to put down a marker. Put on your big boy pants and deal with that rather than doing Levy’s propaganda work for him.

LOLLol Lol :harrylol:

You're actually saying OUR FANS are the ones responsible for us being a banter club... 😆 😆 😆

Good Lordy...I've seen it all now.

Why do you think they are different?

Because of possession?
Not solely, Everton were dreadful whereas Brentford took the lead and also tried to play football and compete for the ball so the performance was naturally better because it gave more opportunities to win the ball with the opposition not set and space to attack, we moved the ball well and for half hour didn't let them breathe although they did play into our hands in that respect but having said all of that, I enjoyed that performance the most this season.

The issue of what we do when we have 65% or more of the ball against an opponent who's happy to sit off still remains and as has been said we'll see what happens this weekend.

It’s an interesting conversation.

I think we almost certainly turned Newcastle over more than we did Brentford but used those turnovers so much better vs Brentford.
I think with most of our games, the way we use those turnovers will be huge for us.

Utd lost 3-0 to Liverpool and all the goals were high turnovers. They will have improved a bit playing through a press and we have improved a bit on how we execute after turning teams over.

Can’t see UTD at OT accepting us controlling possession. At least not at 0-0 or if we take the lead. If they score first they will absolutely drop their press back a step and look to defend deeper. I do like our chances of causing them issues with our press though, no matter how high they defend/press against us. Just hope the rhythm from Brentford continues and we make the most of it.

We are losing that game.

They hope the odds are that way yes.

At this level it's part of every teams game plan. Margins have never been finer between so many teams in the league.

Arsneal sit deep against difficult teams hoping they can capitalise on counter attacks and also on mistakes at set pieces.

Unless someone has scored a worldie ita more likely than not thay a goal has been scored because someone somewhere has made an error.
Exactly.

Teams will dig in and use corners, free kicks and the occasional break to see if they can turn a 0-0 into a win.

The most dominant part of that performance was the first half when we pressed them off the park. Our possession stats during that period were 60%+ IIRC.

Second half was the longest we have been ahead in a game this season so the game state is different - The onus was on Brentford and IMO Brentford deserve a lot of credit second half for going to a really intense man to man press themselves. They came at us and in the end we punished them for it but also Vicario made a couple of great saves too.
It was the lowest possession we've had all season.

Why the fuck are you so obsessed with possession?
AVB liked possession and he was fucking useless. Were you super happy with that dullards time at Spurs?

People mistake possession for dominance. You can dominate a game while having much less of the ball but by still controlling what happens. Teams absolutely have let us have the ball, no matter what anyone says.

Possession on its own is a meaningless stat.

Other than that 1-6

Dec 2019 2-1 United
March 2022 - 3-2 United/Ronaldo
Oct 2022 - 2-0 United
Jan 2024 - 2-2 - outplayed them, went behind twice

1 point from 12. Despite being the better team in 2 games and, arguably, having the better team in that period.
What do you mean other than the 6-1 ?

You basically just said, other than the good results, we always get bad results there 🤣

We got a point there last season and probably edged it if either team could have won. It’s never easy there but there’s nothing historical to say much in either teams favour. Going to Stamford Fridge or St James’ I could understand but this one definitely fits the 50/50 type of game.

Lol, I couldn't give a fuck about banter. It's literally the thing I care about least in football and anyone who gets sad cos thier mate texted them after we lost a game needs serious help.

Online, Spurs fans are ripped for being precious little babies who cry and moan about thier evil chairman and their absolutely pathetic ENIC out campaigns after every loss.

I know you're seemingly sided with a number of these precious little anti fans who take every opportunity to belittle anyone associated with our club but trust me, other fans see it and they laugh at us.

Literally never seen any of this lmao, we get bantered for lack of success, nothing more. As if you actually think there’s a sizeable contingent of oppo fans laughing at us because we hate Levy 😆 what world do you live in!!

All the spurs banter stuff is ‘warra trophy, bottlers’ shite. Anyone who spends 5 mins on Twitter could tell you that.
