Forum software update

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't have the 'floating' scroll to top/bottom of the page buttons either...

Mac Laptop & Android Mob.
Just tested on my Mac and clicking a thread title took me to the first unread post.

The scroll to top button appears when you start scrolling back up the page. Not sure if that's different to how it used to work, I don't use them. Tested on my Android in Chrome.

Admin Admin has the new update got rid of the sort by mentions function. Use to find that quite useful in finding the funniest posts. No drama if it's lost.

Cheers for the updated version.

That was a plugin that hasn't been updated for the new forum software yet. If it does, I'll try and add it back.

Is the hover colour for read threads different to how it used to be? I keep getting fooled that a thread has new posts because I am rolled over it and it goes the same light blue colour as an unread thread. I don't remember this happening before and it's confusing me.

Not on my laptop at the minute but I wasn't aware there was a hover colour background on unread threads. I'll have look when I can.

Just to clarify....

When you hover over the thread title in the thread list. Even if the thread is "read" for you, when you hover it turns the pale blue "unread" colour. So if the mouse cursor happens to be over a read thread it appears as if there is new unread posts in it, yet when I click it obviously it loads from post 1 and my little brain takes a few seconds to work it it's happened again.

Ah, right. I see what you mean.

Admin Admin ...

I've duly disabled my AdBlocker and also Privacy Badger which prevents trackers but I'm still getting the "Disable your AdBlocker" message every two or three clicks.

What can I do? I can't afford to pay...

What browser? Try in a different one? There must be something that's triggering it.

Before the update, on the mobile home screen, there would be 4 or 5 of the latest threads showing under each sub forum heading. There's just 1 thread showing since the update. Is there a way I can get back to the 4 or 5 like before Admin Admin pretty please?

Sorry mate, that's not an option now.

Admin Admin Search function is knackered
Should be sorted. It's just rebuilding the index so might not show all the results yet. Will be done in about 15 mins.

Admin Admin Just out of interest, because the spurs forum has been given greater priority in terms of showing on the main homepage, compared to the off-topic forum, have you seen an increase in the use of that forum and a decrease in the use of off-topic? Just asking purely out of interest really because I've noticed that with the new layout, I tend to jump into the spurs threads first/more often than before, and use the off topic a bit less.

I could be talking pure bollocks mind and just remembering the old layout wrong.

Yeah, people seem to be more active in the Spurs forum now, which is good. I think the changes around the Political discussion have helped as well. It got to the stage where some people were only here for that, or certainly visiting those threads first.

Alternatively, many many years ago I remember <spit> The Spurs Show podcast claiming they got far more downloads when results weren't going well.

Not sure if anyone has reported this but I'm not getting any notifications and have to click on the bell manually to see if anyone has quoted me.

Also I'm not seeing threads marked I've already replied in.

I think bus-conductor bus-conductor said he had a problem with this too but it's working fine for me.

I'm sure you have but have you checked https://thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/account/preferences#alerts
