Player Mikey Moore

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don’t hate some of our players,I just don’t understand why a club our size continually has players in and around the squad for far too long that are nowhere near the levels needed to improve. I’ll rattle off a few and see if you disagree,Sessegnon,Skipp,Richarlison,Werner,Royal,Sanchez,Dier,Reguilon,Ndombele.

You say I hate them but why should I accept players that struggle to do the basics while getting paid crazy money. Will I fuck accept that. I’ve seen incredible players at this club that have been a pleasure to watch so when I see guys like Mikey Moore it does excite me because I know he’ll be someone I’m glad to spend my money on to watch.
Not the ones I mentioned earlier.

If you want rid of players to clear space you have to sell. There is a market for every player but sometimes that means taking £10m instead of £15m or £20m or in very extreme cases releasing them from their contracts like Ndombele. We have mostly been reluctant to take that hit although last window we were a lot more ruthless than normal.

Each of those players has a contract.

There’s only so much a club can do to move on under-performing players who will likely get lower salary offers going forward. All of these players, not inc. Werner (not our contract) are/were overpaid.
If your boss said go find another job at fifty cents on the dollar, would you?

The real question should be who evaluated them in the first place.

Was always going to be a tough game for him playing away against a team scrapping for some form. Wasn't a game for him, but Ange can't be knocked for trying. Mikey will still have learned plenty.

I think we are all well that we just can’t bump players off. My issue is we still give game time to these guys. The club has not been good with the recruitment over the years but I do think that’s improving though. Yes there will be times when we have nobody else but seeing some of those players still play or be on the bench when there is no need really grates on me.

You can’t force a player to go anywhere he doesn’t want to go. You can only cajole or threaten them or get tired of it and pay them off. Richarlison, N’Dombele, Bentley.
Go watch the Sunderland documentary and their attempt to get rid of Jack Rodwell — an eye-opener.

No but you can take the hit. If they don’t want to go you don’t give them a squad number. I am not saying being as ruthless as Chelsea and don’t let them in the training ground at all but if you want squad space you can make it.

But we do have a need- with this run of games and our squad fitness we're basically in injury crisis mode as it concerns our forwards.

That is why we want Levy out buddy...

I'm not going to critisice Ange for starting him. East to dig in hindsight but at the time I was excited.

The way the game turned out, and the fact every Spurs player was so shit, meant it was a poor game for his first start, but if he's as good as we think he is and can be, he will use this as a motivator and a good wake up call that it isn't easy in the PL.

If your team has not won a trophy in near 20 years... I think it safe to say its Levy.
If you run a business and it has key objectives, so let's say :growth and profits, market share and by these markers you are achieving because as the COO of Asda, H&M, Currys these things define you and you meet them then you are objectively a success. If however you work in elite football, and you have been in this role for 22 years and you are not competitive for all but a four year window. It's over you failed move aside. That's where Daniel Levy is at no matter what his supporters say.

Such a shame we couldn't rest him at the weekend and have him going into this City game fresh. This game will suit him down the the ground. Open game where he will have space to run.

Selhurst park against a back 5 was always going to be a tough task for a 17 year old winger. Hopefully he will learn from that experience and it won't effect his confidence going into tomorrow night.

I hope he starts!

Look I don't know what has been said on here about the Palace game in general; although I have listened to the "woke" Windy Podcast and the "how many times did you wank" podcast (TFC). I stopped watching as soon as I saw two 10s starting for the second half. There was no chance; we got done by tactics,

I actually thought Mikey was our most dangerous option when we actually got the ball in the their half.
