An old clip of you playing to back up why you "know football"?

Interesting how it’s all about the cold hard clinical facts and nothing else when it comes to sitting 8th this season, yet when presented with the fact that we finished 5th last season and a point outside the top 4, there was endless ‘context’ about how that was only due to the good start, how we’d lost this many out of that many games, the composition of those points, i.e. who they were gained against, etc.

I guess double standards are better than no standards 🤷‍♂️

5th place is mediocre anyway, you don’t need to contextualise it other than it’s absolutely just very much OK, especially when we were basically in one competition all season.

Finishing outside the top four to Villa? Mid season, always.

I can promise you this:

If Levy rang me up I would be the most determined manager in club history, and I would also be the cheapest in the last 50+ years probably. I'd likely work 18 hour days 7 days a week. I would eat, drink and breathe Spurs.

And we'd probably get relegated because none of that fucking matters. He's employed to win football matches, something he's proving to be only capable of doing 50% of the time at this level.

Ok mate. Keep waiting by the phone yeah

See that's a better stat for running him down.

Should we beat Villa, Ange will have the highest modern era win percentage which is pretty wild all things considered.

What are the ppg of these managers out of curiosity?

Poch 1.91
Sherwood 1.9
Conte 1.88
AVB 1.83
Redknapp 1.74
Mourinho 1.68
Ange 1.68
Nuno 1.5
Jol 1.5
Ramos 1.17

Rowe 1.63
Nicholson 1.62
Burkinshaw 1.45
Hoddle 1.28
Ossie 1.15

Dirty secret: Mourinho was our best goals per match across all competitions since Nicholson.

I think 5th was a pretty good first season given that he lost the clubs highest scorer the day before the season started, had an injury crisis and had to rely on a bunch of squad players who weren't suited to his system. Added to that there was a polar shift in our style of play.

It was an excellent result - not one that anyone expected at all. Especially when Kane left.

Probably a better achievement than Conte getting us 4th.

But none of that matters if he can't sort out our away results. Much like Conte couldn't.

We are 8th in the league having lost as many as we have won and already lost to our biggest rivals. Behind Forest, Villa and Brighton.

No matter how many times you post contextless shit like this and include the wins against fodder.

The best team in England didn’t play the majority of the players which make them the best team in England. It’s the league cup.
Little one just woke me and was sick everywhere. It's feels awful to see him ill plus it stank but not once did I retch in solidarity with him.

But seeing this - a forum member already using the 'they didn't play their best players' and 'its only the league cup' arguments as sticks to beat us with - is more vomit inducing to me.

I'll have to give Ange credit tonight. No point in bashing him when he improved in terms of his league cup results and results at home against one of the top 2 teams in the league. I didn't have Ange as a favourite even if Pep started a more experimental 11 - I think Pep started a team strong enough to beat us.

And also, for the amount of times I've watched Spurs still fuck it up when Arsene played the kids. You have to beat what is in front of you. So if he manages to somehow win a league cup and not be sacked before the final, fair play.
