Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm trying to say we're in the managers thread, after yet another shit performance proving how clueless this clown is and you seem to be implying that our Spanish international full back isn't good because he's only proven in the Portuguese league despite the fact that league shits over every league the clown in charge has ever managed in, hope that clears it up for you

I know what you meant. I was joking

I want Kieran McKenna - Spurs youth product and former gaffer of our U-18s as our next manager. I’d prefer Xabi Alonso but that’s a pipe dream - He’s next up at Real Madrid so he’s not coming to work for Levy. Wonder how Slot woukd be doing for us if our bald cvnt had been willing pay his release clause - or even Poch.
Completely unproven. No Euro experience. No PL experience. 2 great years through the leagues but his CV is no better than Ange’s.

He’s never had to turn a team around during a season and no experience of dealing with supposedly good players.

Can match going supporters just stop singing his name 10 times a match and giving him a false sense of security? I know our current catalog is rather thin, but fuck me does he get a sing song far often than deserved.

I hadn't paid much attention to Ange before he came though I hoped he was the type of manager who could work with a mixed bag of players and get us a bit better than we were on paper but I was wrong about that it seems .Is Potter or Rodgers that type of manager who can make us that bit better than the sum of our parts ,I just don't know .

He’s 38 - with no Euro/PL experience- not 60. Not many mangers have pulled off back to back promotions from L1 and the Chanpionship.

Like I said, I want the likes of Xabi Alonso but proven managers like that arent coming to work for Levy. Even the likes of Potter not interested.

Maybe you’d get an upturn in energy and results if a new manager came in but it would eventually plateau out imo We really struggle to open up teams and create clear cut chances especially early in games. We’re very basic in wide areas and lacking a bit of magic. Son isn’t doing enough to be in the team anymore especially on the left. Awful ball retention and no real threat from that area. Johnson very passive and no real desire to make something happen. I don’t see another manager taking our attacking play up a level. They might go more defensive then try and play on the counter again as that probably suits our attacking players better but everyone hated that.

More than anything it’s the type and lack of quality signings in those areas in the summer that’s hurting us. We over commit then get done the other end. Until we actually start buying the right quality in the cutting edge of the pitch it’s going to be fairly inconsistent no matter who the manager is

He rejected speaking to us on a full time basis, yet you think now he’ll accept a 8month contract?
I vaguely remember something like that but am not sure of the details. If true that is sad- imo he'd be the absolute best coach for Levy's desired club style. Especially with his advanced empathy training to help heal shattered egos- we need somebody like that.

I don't get why people who go on about Ange's only experience being in inferior leagues, will say we need Mckenna.
Because I’m being realistic about who’d actually come to work for our bald cunt chairman. Potter doesn’t want the job for ffs. Wouldn’t be surprised if McKenna weren’t interested despite his connections to the club - he supposedly turned down a chance to take charge of Blue Scum this summer so ... or do you seriously think Xabi Alonso is a possibility?

I agree. 194 pts over 2 seasons at Ipswich. They were more tipped for relegation last season and he got them automatic promotion. Has been massively highly thought of as a coach for years, at our youth teams, at Utd from youth through to first team. Plays decent stuff and the Spurs link means he'd probably be keen on coming which a lot wouldnt. He's a coach that improves players not a quack philosopher who should be a mindfullness coach at a wellness retreat.
