Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was watching a thing with Sonny this morning and before training he was going into an oxygen tent. Fucking mollycoddled, every one of them. Get everything on a plate to be able just to rely on ability and what tactics they are given and they still can’t perform consistently. .

But that's the norm for pro footballers at any big club surely. If we take that sort of thing away it's not gonna help us?

Sadly, for me. Today was a turning point. Beating city and thrashing Villa needed to be followed up. Fair play to Ipswich but if we have any aims on top 4 we need to win these games.
Palace was bad but this is unacceptable.
Ange, mate, you are on borrowed time.

We're dead patchy but so is everyone at the moment, bar Liverpool.

I don't know why, but I've got a funny feeling Ange will last the season if we continue to WLWLWL thing.

We'll end up about 8th and I reckon that might see him get the bullet at the end of the season.

If our form properly nosedives Levy moves quickly though.

The thing is we are dead patchy and have had kind fixtures.

Look at our next fixtures. City will smash us. Fulham can beat us at home who are a very decent side. Chelsea will 100% beat us at our place. Does anyone think Southampton won't pick up 3 point at home to us? Then we have Liverpool.

I can genuinely see it getting worse. The only thing which has been saving us and Ange has been our home form. At the moment it looks far more likely that our home form will also falter, than it will be that our away form improves and if that happens, Ange is gone.

Levy is 100% warming up his trigger finger, to think anything else goes against everything we have seen from Levy in 30 years.

At this point I would say Ange is one or two more defeats like today from the sack.

he is 100% finishing the season. An assessment will be made in the summer. If the results keep going like this and we end the season in midtable with around 15 league defeats, then he will go! I can't see any panic sacking mid season though so lets just hope we find consistency and can go far in the cups too.

Mate ange knows he is on borrowed time, especially with the city game coming up, away from home with our nonexistent defending.

If we lose to United in the cup and are mid-table at Christmas, he will be gone.

Part of the reason we overhauled our footballing structure was to enable us to change the coach without changing the entire football direction of the club. I think if anything Levy will be even more willing to sack the coach than he was in the past. 10 defeats in 18 league games would get you a pink slip at every elite club in the world.

Wrong. Ange will get to finish this season regardless and an assessment will be made in the summer.

Whats the worst case scenario? We finish mid table and win nothing? Levy will happily allow that to happen rather than make a rash decision and have Mason in charge, while he has to fork out a big fee to try and get Frank/Iraolo.

Cmon lads, your better than this. Think before you type and give your heads a wobble if you think Ange could be sacked soon.

I can't see it! I really can't. He finishes the season and we make a decision in the summer

Financially we're an elite club.

In terms of drive, vision, strategy and footballing philosophy...something quite small time about us.

He can

And he will

The silence is deafening from the posters of last week who told us Ange is bringing back the glory days.

Gone by Christmas
Can't see it man. Give me the circumstances? Mason in charge over christmas while we negotiate with bournemouth for a fee on Iraolo? All because Levy is afraid we might finish midtable so he decides now is the time to sack Ange?

Yes it is at big clubs but do these players need all that! Finely tuned soft men is what big money at big clubs have turned them into.

I know we all like to harp on about the past but back in the 70s/80s/90s these top players would come in train and go home. The talent was outrageous in those eras and they were super fit and tough lads.
Too much emphasis on numbers now rather than go out and make it difficult for the guy you are playing against and make sure you’re there to help your team mates.
Of course there’s a place for some of the modern stuff especially diet education. These guys do pre warm up warm ups🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And they still get injured!

I’m going on a tangent here but too many staff at clubs like numerous physios, analysts, sports scientists, social media teams all having their say to players. Fuck that shit, players will be getting their heads filled with all sorts by people who have really no clue about the game in and around the clubs.

I’ve lost the plot tonight!!!!!!

It was obvious to me at games lile Fulham away last season and then the way we got absolutely battered against the likes of Liverpool at the end of the season, to know that Ange was a fraud.

There's no way a manager can survive who sets up the defence like he does.

I am shocked that he hasn't been sacked yet, but I can only think that Levy is waiting until we get knocked out of the cups.

But even Levy must know we have no chance of getting Europe this season.
I'm glad you mentioned Fulham.I keep reading posts saying Palace was the worst game under Angelos but Fulham was awful we were lucky to get 0.
For me he lost me after the Chelsea game."3 against 11 with Vic as rush goalie it's who we are mate".A proper manager would have hunkered down and tightened up but he is either stubborn to the nth degree or clueless.
It will be interesting to see what Comedy Gold makes of it,on camera he actually said "they stunk the place out for 71 minutes" after the Coventry game and that from the voice of THFC

Just doesn’t make sense. How can our form vary so much? Pep loses four on the trot and people talk about an ‘unprecedented crisis’. Our total lack of consistency is bewildering even by so called ‘spursy’ standards. We’ve thrown away six points to teams in the bottom three: win those and we’d be talking about a title challenge. I like ange and want some stability but this isn’t sustainable. The trouble is… who would do any better with a squad can be best described as ‘streaky’?

Mate, levy literally sacked Jose a few days before a cup final. Do you think he won’t pull the plug on Ange if things persist like this? Of course he will. The way this team is setup defensively is seriously alarming. Levy is an accountant but I’m sure even he can see that. Ange needs to be sacked asap

Yeah fair enough mate, I completely understand those views. I'm the same, I have a season ticket too and sometimes you do just wanna give it up and wonder why it's worth the high prices we pay. The football results piss me off, you walk away from the stadium last week buzzing after a pretty good win only to lose today (didn't actually go to game today) but hopefully you get what I mean. It's the same errors, one min we have turned a corner the next we are doing the same shite and it's very frustrating.

Yeah I get what you’re saying. The reason it keeps happening is the level of the player though, that’s what it seems to me. They just can’t keep it up from one game to the next. I said we’d finish eight before a ball was kicked this season as I saw this all coming and nothing has changed this season to make me sway from that.

You are the one who clearly needs to give his head a wobble sorry mate. Nothing has stopped Levy sacking manager's midseason before. There is no regardless in PL management ffs. If Ange was to get no points until Christmas, you think he will last the season? lmao.

Levy will not happily allow us to finish midtable. Absolutely no chance. Levy for all his many faults, will think that another coach will get better out of this squad than Ange is, and he will be absolutely correct.
