Reading between the lines in ange’s press conference today Spence still isn’t doing enough to get in the side.

He's going to get injured. It's the reason Udogie has gone to shit. Overplayed. This is shocking management. I don't care if he rates or likes Spence, or though you wonder why he's happy to lie so readily in support of the contract extension that's a poor look, but use him to protect the players he does rate. I don’t know why some on here had this idea that Spence was a player Ange trusted. If you are trusted, you play. Spence wasn’t even included in our European squad and has played two significant 45 minute halves in his Spurs career, both times only because Udogie had to be subbed off. He is a player who was not meant to be here and is for emergencies only.

It’s a classic case of fans over-rating a player just because they want to feel like they’re right rather than admit the reality of the the player not being good enough.

What a waste this all is. Levy, Ange, Spence.
What a pathetic cycle of mediocrity.
I don't trust Levy or Ange to figure out anything especially meaningful about players. I think someone genuinely personable like Redknapp would have figured out how to integrate Djed, but I guess it's a moot point now. Unbelievable waste of time and money by Levy at this point, we just need to move him on and ourselves move on to players our club can actually work with.
20million spent and countless expensive man-hours spent on him by top staff- all so Levy could cheap out an extra 20m he eventually spent 40m for on Porro. Levy- what a fucking waste of time you so eloquently proved your own cheap tactics to be.
I do know that Djed scored a nice goal and has looked defensively and physically on it whenever he's played, so, there's something there- just apparently not anything our club knows how to work with. It's probably on Djed, but there's also a chance it's not. And I think we all know there is something subtly weird going on right now at the club.
You really just have to try and enjoy it all as a fucked up reality TV show or something like that, if you can.
So basically we're going to run Porro into the ground.

I get having standards and on principle I agree with the concept of earning playing time on the training ground.
But I'd happily compromise and give Djed some minutes just so Pedro doesn't explode like a Lego structure dropped on the ground.
