Get him the fuck out. He’s leading us down a path of painful mediocrity. We’ll never have control over a match, never have solidity, always at risk of losing to anyone.

We are simply a revamped version of the 90s. A glorified mid table outfit who beats the dross at home and plays some high scoring football but never troubles anyone serious. This team will win nothing under him.

The 2-1 earlier in the season

High number of low quality chances. I remember Odobert's volley being somewhat dangerous, other than that we had alot of the ball but Newcastle knew what they were doing.

We had 20 shots at goal and only 6 on target what does that tell you?

Also had 65% of the ball.

The man said our set piece coaches are Ryan Mason and Mile Jedinak.....watched us concede set piece goals galore last season.....and proceeded to assign set piece duties to Ryan Mason and Mile Jedinak again.

I marvel at his intelligence.

theyve got the credentials tho, jedinak is from the same country who havent got a clue about football and mason is here on work experience and a charity case. we are in good hands!

Which has been recurring especially this season. This is why I chuckle when people say we "dominate" games. Some games we look incredible, but other games we are about as threatening as a feather duster.
Absolutely.

Difference between having loads of useless possession and not getting anywhere near the goal and little incisive bursts that end in two, three goals.

So far tonight is in the former camp...

“Enough of you (media) have done enough research on me to know this is not the first time I’ve been questioned about set-pieces in my coaching career. There is an underlying reason for that which I’m very, very comfortable with.

“Eventually I will create a team that has success and it won’t be because of working on set-pieces.”

“To quote Billy Joel, you may be right, I may be crazy, but it’s maybe a lunatic you’re looking for. I’m just not interested in it. I never have been.

“If I thought fixing defensive set-pieces was the answer to us bridging the gap then I’d put all of my time and effort into that. But that’s not where we’re at.

A fucking premier league manager.
No way is that an actual quote. Seriously?

We’ve been in a path of mediocrity for years.

It’s become a “thing” for him now. And he won’t back down. And he’s fucking wrong.
