This is how I feel.
I really feel like the lack of depth particularly in defensive areas is what's hurting. I'd like to see us spend a little on an experienced Premier League level Centre Half to act as cover for VdV and Romero. Not someone who's going to pass the ball around the back when we're under pressure, but someone from a different school of thought who will make the decision when we're under the cosh to use some common sense and blast it clear. Someone like a Harry Maguire, not gonna necessarily expect to start but can bring some Premier League "Know How" when it comes to game management, and someone that we might be able to get at a reasonable price.
Sometimes individual players need to take responsibility and decide how much they're going to apply the manager's philospy under certain situations. There are times when you have to say "...yes boss, we'll play football they way you want as soon as we can... but right now we CLEAR. OUR. LINES..."
