Losing your main center back is pretty much to worse thing that can happen to a squad. Go look at Liverpools win record without VVD, Arse without Saliba, City without Dias. All dropped significantly.

We are without both CBs and our keeper. Our first choice backup CB injured and replaced with an 18 year old who is not a CB.

We have continued to score plenty of goals through this patch, but simply cannot stop the rot at the back.

So, what should Ange have done against Forest? Park the bus and let them attack our makeshift defence? Or control the game, dominate the ball and score as we always do?

I'm not sure he got the game wrong. They didn't create much and their goal was a product of poor defending. We dominated the ball, but our players didn't deliver.

Kulu was too slow on the ball. Always holding onto it too long and getting tackled.

Solanke rarely looking for the goal and always with his back to goal looking to lay the ball off. He really suits being park of a strike pairing rather than a lone striker.

Not sure if Madders was carrying a knock but play a midfield of Sarr, Bergvall and Maddison, with Deki, Son and Solanke upfront? We were sorely lacking creativity in attack to try and unlock their low block. Change the approach with the fullbacks so that they maintain some width and don’t clog up the centre of midfield?

I'd take anyone at this stage..

You can say all this till your blue in the face, his results with a fit squad are just as bad and I dont believe in his philosophy.

He is open to counter attacks and his tactics will not work against elite opposition in this league.

I just don’t know how anybody can watch his post match interviews after a loss and thinks this is a man who believes in what him and his team are doing.
The way he can’t look the interviewer in the eye, I mean that’s body language basics, anybody who has a kid knows this…

Ange should be able to take a team backstopped by Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin, and win top 4 in the premier league. I mean come on, if one of them goes down he has the likes of Yves Bissouma to play CB.

If you can’t win with that lineup you shouldn’t be in the PL. Inexcusable.
Such a stupid post. What is the excuse for the Ramos level results November 2023-November 2024?

The squad hasn't been ravaged by injuries for 13 straight months. And it's better than 11th.

Because the evidence of every manager before and since Poch Is that he won’t be Poch mkII. And Poch didn’t win anything anyway then got fired so why would we want a Poch Mk II?
The evidence is every single manager since Ramos has gotten better results from the squad, regardless of spending on transfers and wages (and most had significantly less than Ange has had).

So why the fuck would we want this fraud for another hour?

1. Lack of a stable consistent starting eleven is disruptive, (but even so the starting eleven has a one or two coach killers or coach killer moments in it).

2. The team is better than 11th. Its somewhere between 6th and 10th.

3. The quality falls off a cliff when the first eleven are not playing

4. For everyone's sake, he needs to go.

I still think Ange could do very well at Spurs, but only if he builds in stages.

But he shown that he won't, he's not prepared to gradually work towards his vision of how the game should be played.

Instead he's tried to do it 100% from day one, without having the players to be able to do it.

It would be best for him and Spurs if he went. Perhaps he'd be good at one of the better Championship sides where he'd have a chance of fielding the best players in that league.

But it's just not working at Spurs and there's nothing to indicate it'll get any better.

I previously said Spurs might as well give him the next window, but I don't see the point now. He's too inflexible.

The injuries have been bad, but the damage caused by them wouldn't have been as bad if he'd have changed his tactics to mitigate for them. Even just something as simple as telling Forster just to hoof it up the park instead of trying to be a sweeper.

My take is we did go longer and were far less intricate at playing from the back, both Forest and Liverpool….. however we still had full backs pressing centrally in the final third which is nuts and that’s how we were sprung on their goal
