Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can't believe you can't acknowledge how set up to fail our squad was.

Even if we change managers this squad is nowhere near a Europa challenge let alone top four. I'd say about 7th-9th is par and we will get that when the players return.
it should be competing for top 5. with a quality wide attacker and a quality midfielder it would give it a sufficient boost too. theres a decent foundation there, the manager is killing us, making it look far worse than it is.

Ange Postecoglou on the transfer window:
"It's an important one. If we add what we need to add and fits what trying to do… our league position not great but it’s super tight and we’re not that far off. In semi-final of Carabao Cup and still in great position in Europe and FA Cup. Still everything to play for to make it a season where we can have success. Need help and club working very hard to make that happen."
Smells like a man clinging to his job by his fingertips to me

Just out of curiosity do you think Brighton should sack their manager? What about Pep?
I shouldn't have to answer this as it's a silly, incomparable question, but.....

Pep is done. He'll be gone by the end of the season. He'd be gone already if not for the fact he's absolutely dominated the PL for almost a decade.
Brighton have only just got their coach. If things don't improve, they may well ditch him.
We haven't only just got our coach. He's had quite some time to improve us but he's actually made us as bad as we have been since Ramos.
We're THAT bad.

We will double, if not treble their current wages.

We may well be delusional but many forget that it really is just a job. If someone offers you a lot of money that will dramatically benefit you and your family, you take it.
And for most managers. It is a no risk job.

Everyone knows about the title drought. If you fail to win here, it won't negatively impact your reputation. BUT if you manage to break it, your reputation and career will be amplified.

Who was surprised by yesterday's result and method of defeat?
Nuno...right lads hold 'em on the edge of our box, win a tackle give it to Gibbs-White, sprint 30 yards. Lay it into the path of Elanga, Bob's yer uncle!
Not surprised but pissed off with the failure to adapt.

I understand the philosophy, but when you have the injuries we do and an 18 year old at centre back, it seems unnecessarily stubborn and reckless to continue with both fullbacks so high up near the opposition box.

The goal we gave away was very avoidable under the circumstances.

Also which "top jobs" will the likes of Iraola be holding out for anyway?

Who might be looking for a new manager come the summer?

City? Depending on the case they'll either be fucked or get off Scott free and resume chasing elite players and managers

Goons? They won't sack Legohead so depends if he walks himself

Maresca seems secure at the Chavs

Slot is going nowhere anytime soon

Emery won't be sacked for a fall off after reaching highs Villa haven't experienced for decades (and face it still doing much better than us)

Amorim is new enough in post not to be in danger.

Offer to triple his salary, because the only other "big" clubs I see with likely vacancies at the end of the season are Newcastle and Everton. Are we that unattractive that we struggle to recruit against them?
