Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think everyone knows now that 4th to 6th is the limit of what is possible under Levy, at least until he gets the outside investment he’s looking for. It’s not possible to credibly challenge for trophies with our current wage structure.

Our fans are sensible enough to understand that a manager who reaches 4th place is doing the maximum that is realistically possible. That to me would be “success” and it’s something that both Poch and Conte delivered. If Ange was meeting that standard, there would be no ire towards him.

He can complain about injuries but his starting XI last night cost about £250m. There are no excuses for us being 11th.

I do think losing a World class Kane plus the obvious decline of Son is massive as well. We have to all intensive purposes lost Kane and Son. Ange aside we need an elite attacker again.

Maybe he’s being turned down by all and sundry again like during the last two managerial searches?

Whilst I think we are an attractive club to manage, the top level guys are far too intelligent to do it.
I'm not sure we are an attractive proposition anymore.
Too many within the game including managers, agent's, are too clued up on levys antics now to take a chance on us.
I don't know who would come in, I just know that ange needs to go, as it won't work with him, with or without a fit squad.

Was Ange and his high line to blame for destroying Micky's hamstrings before he came to spurs? He was out with a hamstring injury for 3 months the season before he came to spurs. Did Wolfsburg play a 'crazy' highline too?

I'm not a physio but could it be that him being 6ft 4 and the quickest player in the league makes him more susceptible to hamstring injuries?

The bloke is and will always be susceptible.

Richarlison has been a huge miss. Johnson not providing the influence you would hope for from a 60m player. Solanke is very good but more of a glue guy than a primary creative force. We really have totally failed to replace Kane and Son, haven't we?

Son for me was never world class but the level just below it. Kane was/is the best 9 in world football plus a very good Son next to him. Think of how many times we were utter turd under Jose and Conte and those two saved us. That is now gone. It’s a huge hole for us.

I can guarantee if we get potter or Iraola, we’ll have a bounce and then within 18 months everyone will be slagging their tactics off and wanting them gone, because there is no way any manager in our range can make us successful with the ENIC business model
This depends entirely on what you class as success.

Levy will never fully fund a proper push for the league title. But a smart manager can work with what he is given here and try to get some cup trophies over the line combined with finishing between 4th and 6th in the league. Which Levy definitely funds us well enough to do.

the front line is by far our weak point now. solanke i think is fine and we havent even seen the best of him yet. kulu can do a job on occasions but not sure hes good enough to be playing there week in week out, it will work in some games and others it wont, especially when you need pace to get up the pitch quicker.

We have to fix it irrespective of who is our manager.

clever recruitment and a good manager is everything. man united are proof that its not about how much money you spend.

To fix this mess we need a poch mark 2 with a history of winning trophies or always challenging.

Poch mark 2 with a history of winning trophies probably doesn’t exist. There is Poch mark 1 and everyone else will be a bigger gamble. Most trophy winning managers don’t have to drastically improve their players via coaching, like Pep they will have the elite given to them.

This 18 months/we can't keep going round in circles stuff is overblown for me. That's basically what every other club does. That's football. Right or wrong.

If you're not doing it, you get a couple of years. If you come in and get something going you might last four or five like Poch or Redknapp. Beyond that you have outliers, or uber top tier guys like Klopp and Pep.

Ange has had it pretty good off the fans till now, mainly because 18 months ago there was a lot of "what I'd give for attacking football", sentiments to back a manager, and ire directed at Levy. So it's become a binary choice. Then there was that infamous 10 game spell, the good vibes, that fucking Robbie Williams song, and the cult established. It's all protected him for longer than most guys would have got.

He isn't hamstrung that much to be bottom half at Xmas. It doesn't matter if we have zero or fifteen players out injured, coz whatever team he has selected in the last year has been inconsistent in performance and results and he is no closer to being able to capture and sustain the good stuff. He's got to sort it out pronto, or he can have no complaints about getting the inevitable bullet.

Marco Silva has turned down an approach from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli and insisted he retains "total commitment" to Fulham. As Sky Sports reported earlier this week, the Portuguese was to be offered £40m for a two-year deal to become the club's new manager.

He's our man, obviously not motivated by money, plays attractive football and knows how to defend!
