Basic would actually be fine right now. Fuck off the philosophy as we're in a dogfight and focus on winning 3 points every week and take it game by game. Get some sort of organisation back that protects the backline, nothing wrong with lobbing some balls forward for Solanke now and again either.

We are in an absolute state so back to basics is likely what a competent coach will do mid-season. Southgate is never coming here so not sure why people are worried about it anyway, he's essentially a politician now.

You have to be careful though throwing the baby out with the bath water. We are building towards a team that is possessions oriented attacking football, we can amend that to a more cautious nature but it would be foolish to switch to a counter attack style. Our recruitment would then need to be binned and started all over.

If Ange goes it needs to be a Irola type not a Sean Dyche type.

Yeah I agree - this would be as a temporary rest of season thing. Someone coming in now would be a plaster fix imo, a temporary measure to stabilise the squad to get us in a reasonable position for an Iraola to take over. I think even most intelligent attacking coaches right now focus on the basic stuff.

i get everyone's frustrations i really do but you take away THE 4 most important players out of any team and they will struggle.
Vic, VDV, Rom, Benta make up the spine of this team and everything that starts and ends with them and they are all out.
look at ManC without Rodri, Look at Woolwich without Odegarde, struggled big time, and spurs have 4 OUT.
have you ever seen a team in 12th place half way through the season with the second most goals scored and the 3rd best goal difference? surely that must mean something?

But that’s the point isn’t it?, he’s lost those players and plowed on regardless with the same tactics etc, that’s total ineptitude or at best ridiculously naive is it not?

never mind the fact his kamikaze shit puts players at risk of getting injured anyway, he fucking rushed two back when they clearly wasnt ready! putting their careers at risk. fucking horrendous stuff.

Disagree- I think the perfect manager for Daniel is out there. I really hope he can find true managerial love, for our sakes.

Just fucking stop it. Please. It's so bullshit. I don't know if some of you are on the wind up continuing this drivel narrative but its honestly insanity at this point.

We were already 8th/9th prior to injuries. People have repeatedly posted that we are now on some insane run (going back like a year or more!) of the worst PPG in our modern history. With all this information available you have zero excuse to continue to try and hide behind injuries. Many of us didn't want him here BEFORE we had the injury crisis because he was already doing badly.

Our goal difference is the most misleading bullshit I've ever seen. We are toothless in competitive games vs organised sides but fill our boots vs Southampton and score 3 meaningless goals against Liverpool when the game was dead. Bournemouth and Forest limited us so easily.

I admit I'm being somewhat cheeky here because I know it horrifies a lot of our fan base (a tad unjustly if understandable imo)

However I do think absolutely that Levy and Southgate are a match made in heaven.

I really don't think Southgate has any desire to be a club manager. He's not an unintelligent man and knows that premier league management is a knife fight. He's got his pick of cushty roles in this country and will always be a bit of a media darling with a solid reputation.

Trading that in to manage Spurs? Nahhhh.

I wonder what Pep would do in Ange’s shoes

I hate to say it but it really has Southgate written all over it. All that has to happen is for Potter to not change his previously held position about Levy/Spurs. I don't believe Southgate is going to ever be seriously courted by Utd/City/Pool/Chels/Ars anytime soon, nor do Newc or Villa need him either. Brighton won't want him. We're like the only two single people at the bar, and it's getting close to closing time.

And rodgers and Martinez. Don’t rule them out.

Depressing in the extreme!

I'm a solid 4-2-3-1 whore myself so I like this. :D
