Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

True but he has absolutely no chance of turning it around until he gets them players back. So its either sack him now and bring in a new manager to takeover Forster and no fit centre backs (Drag played injured yesterday), or wait it out until some of them are back and see if Ange can turn it around and atleast if we are bringing in a new manager he will be taking over a team that actually has a fit defence and is ready to win some games!
Perhaps the new manager has an actual coaching team who can manage the players ????

OR

Get someone new in, spend some money on reinforcements and maybe salvage something from the season.

Someone that plays more than one way.

We have a decent chance in two competitions still. Possibly 3 if Ange goes before Liverpool.

The next 2 league games are Newcastle and Woolwich. We have Liverpool in the cup in between them too. Bringing in a new manager now while most our defence and Vicario is injured makes no sense to me. We've little to no chance of winning any of these games regardless of who the manager is. If we are bringing in someone new then you have to atleast give them a chance and a clean slate. Right now we are in the trenches so may aswell just put up with Ange until atleast we have half our defence back and can actually compete again

Fucking look at it.

Look at it.

I don't think relegation is a serious concern this season, but look at the state of this. In our last six only the bottom two have worse form than us, and we're even with Leicester. Our saving grace is the bottom three are utterly dismal an are showing no sign of improvement whatsoever.

4 points from 6 games. We've played all of the bottom 4 now, by the way and scooped up 5 points out of 12.

Fucking dismal and shut up about injuries.

Oh we can just carry on losing games then if it doesn’t matter. Or you can try to change it.

Wolves have 7 from 9 because they changed manager. Granted United haven’t but United are potentially more fucked than we are.

We've literally no defenders atm. Porro and Spence are the only fit ones available. We are down to Reguilon and Dorrington now who really shouldn't even count as options... Dragusin played with an injury yesterday and its only a matter of time before he gets ruled out for a few months as we can't rotate him. On top of that we have the worst starting goalkeeper in the league.

Our 18 year old midfielder Archie Gray has become the best available defender at the club. Its insane to think a new manager will get us winning straight away with the current situation.

Yeah, we were a bit unlucky yesterday. Their first goal was an inch-perfect worldie, we missed a pen and Kulu really should have chipped the keeper when put through by Solanke. I don't think there is a lot of criticism to be levied at players for the Wolves goals other than maybe getting tighter to Hwang on that free kick.

Still, it's just another game where we failed to be significantly better than the opposition at home and couldn't put the game to bed. I'm not sure if anyone has posted the league table for this calendar year but I have a feeling it's pretty abysmal.

Edit: I checked and we're 9th for the calendar year.

I thought Forster was pretty shocking for Wolves second tbh. I think Vicario saves that and the Forest goal tbh but it is what it is.

Kulusevski should have scored, Solanke should have hit one with his left instead of second guessing himself and ally the defender to catch him. He was also unlucky not to reach Werner’s cross.

Then as you said Son missed a fucking penalty as well. Was so obvious he’d go left as well. He knew he’d miss it.

Apparently all but one of Son’s ones go that way.

This injury crisis very much reminds me of Klopp's Liverpool in 20/21 where they fell off completely. Van Dijk was ruled out for the season and all of a sudden players like Henderson and Fabinho had to start covering at centre back and could never rotate. They just kept picking up new injuries every week as the squad was thin with all the injuries. Their season was a total write off.

We didn’t have a squad that was equipped to handle the rigours of a Premier League campaign, particularly when you’re trying to challenge and sustain some sort of level of intensity and competitiveness in the toughest league in the world,” Postecoglou told The Athletic earlier this month. “It wasn’t surprising. Some of that is just because it was my first year and we had a lot of injuries, which I think was just the remnants of us training the way we train and the way we do things. You’d like to think this year we are a lot better equipped to handle that side of it.

May 2024-ish.

Get this bluffer out to fuck.
Doesn’t the fact that he was expecting the injuries to slow down but they got considerably worse suggest that we have a deeper rooted issue to solve?

At least in his mind

They finished 3rd.

Funny thing is, several people called that as a down year before it because they’d need to off-cycle the asthma meds for long term player health reasons. Then miraculously they had a down year and picked up injuries until the new year

Yesterday Shadydan Shadydan was telling us we were a "cooked fanbase" (or whatever teen lingo he's speaking this week) because we were concerned that Dragusin was injured and it's all fine.

Today we're being told that we in fact have no defenders and Dragusin is playing injured.

Which is it?

Son has been shocking this season! I don't know whats happened to him. Probably fatigue but he's giving the ball away, making the wrong decisions and not working hard enough off the ball. He's not tracking back or pressing to the levels required. His confidence is at an all time low too.Usually he is such a sharp player and only needs one touch to get a shot away but this season he takes 5 or 6 touches before taking a shot on and he's become so easy for defenders to mark.. Watching Cunha yesterday shows the difference in confidence levels. He was taking on shots on the spin and just oozed confidence. Son has the ability to do all that but something is missing this season. He could do with a 2 or 3 game break but we don't have the luxury to rotate him given how poor werner looks every time he comes on

Nah, it's really not though, look at how night and day our performances were when Redknapp took over from Ramos, we will likely see a similar boost when Ange leaves. I seem to remember us going from getting dicked by the likes of Boro, Sunderland and Villa to going to the Emirates and picking up a 4-4 draw and beating Liverpool and City 2-1. All with exactly the same players as Ramos.

We're behind Forest, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Fulham, Villa, and Brighton, and have a clearly better squad than all of them except maybe Newcastle, maybe Villa. Based on that If we just had a coach at least as good as any of theirs, we should be at least top 6.

We're on pace for 48 points for the season. That is terrible.
We think we have better squad but we don’t.
