Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The quicker we change the manager the quicker we start the long road to recovery. There is no point giving Ange more time. His methods are not effective at this level of football.

The injury situation is his fault. He cannot cry about being unable to rotate when he has young players on the bench that he said he was happy to have in his first team. He cannot cry about Destiny’s injury when he has had Spence and Reguilon available all season. He cannot complain about the intensity of the fixture schedule when his training sessions are crocking players as soon as they return from injury.
100%.

We are 13 points behind Forest - let that sink in.

Yesterday Shadydan Shadydan was telling us we were a "cooked fanbase" (or whatever teen lingo he's speaking this week) because we were concerned that Dragusin was injured and it's all fine.

Today we're being told that we in fact have no defenders and Dragusin is playing injured.

Which is it?

Son has been shocking this season! I don't know whats happened to him. Probably fatigue but he's giving the ball away, making the wrong decisions and not working hard enough off the ball. He's not tracking back or pressing to the levels required. His confidence is at an all time low too.Usually he is such a sharp player and only needs one touch to get a shot away but this season he takes 5 or 6 touches before taking a shot on and he's become so easy for defenders to mark.. Watching Cunha yesterday shows the difference in confidence levels. He was taking on shots on the spin and just oozed confidence. Son has the ability to do all that but something is missing this season. He could do with a 2 or 3 game break but we don't have the luxury to rotate him given how poor werner looks every time he comes on

He was poor in 2nd half of last season too.

The system doesn't suit him - the high press with overload means he's mostly facing defenders able to double up on him with little risk. He usually tries to take them on, resulting in the ball turning over to the opposition who get a 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 break opportunity with 2/3 of the pitch to play into. We've seen it time and time again when the opposition targets him as the weakest link in terms of conceding possession and I assume we'll see it again next week vs Newcastle.

On top of that he's clearly lost some of his afterburner pace. 3-4 years ago Son was still faster with the ball at his feet than most defenders without the ball. That is definitely no longer the case.

I've already held my hands up, "bro". Unlike some on here I don't shy away from my mistakes.

But the central point remains, we have Ange fans telling us to be calm because Dragusin is fine, and we shouldn't be concerned about having no CBs and we have Ange fans telling us Dragusin is actually playing injured we in fact have no CBs.

Sorry I don't see where you've done this...?

Yes but their level dropped by around 20 points. We are nowhere near as good as that Liverpool team, its just an example of the drop off due to injuries. They won the league the year before. We came 5th
Liverpool's drop off wasn't just down to injuries IMO, they were at the end of a cycle, you act like their drop off only happened because of issues with their defence but they also had huge problems scoring goals, going from 89 and 85 scored the 2 seasons prior to 68. We are on pace to comfortably outscore that Klopp side, to act like all their issues that season stemmed from defensive injuries is very reductive, they were coming down from the high of winning the CL and PL back to back, what fucking high are we coming down from? Ange's hat trick of MOTM awards?

Then you're not looking hard enough. The bit where I say "I put my hands up I got my wires crossed". I've said it again.

So not only did you accuse me of lying and then you get your wires crossed, you then basically quoted yourself and apologised to your own post where you're still fucking lying again, are you actually alright?

Perhaps you should learn how to use the forum instead of obsessing over how I speak on here "bro"...There's a good lad

Let's try and play the ball, not the man shall we.

Groan.
Look at his new shtick this morning.

“It’s been fairly intense for a real small core group of players, particularly over the last four or five weeks and I think it’ll do them good to have a couple of days to themselves, with their families, and give them a chance to recover mentally as much as physically.

“I’ll just keep going. We’ve got work to do and try to get some help for these players. Our role is to try and give them everything we can, the support we can to perform at their best.”

Listen, pussyhole.

It was YOU that insisted on "intensity"
It was YOU that rushed back our 2 CBs against Chelsea and got them nobbled
No, YOU'VE got work to do not 'we'
Yes, Levy will allow you to "keep going" coz you're both cucks at this point and you care more about self preservation than the actual football.

Disgusted with it all.

IMHO, it definitely won't be this week. It's New Year. The media team wouldn't be thrown into deep end last minute preparing for all the PR work and wasted all the content done before hand meant for New Year.

Depending on scoreline, Newcastle could really be decisive though, as it's right before the League Cup semis.

Matt law came out yesterday and said his job is currently safe. I’d believe that over anything as he loves sticking the knife in and causing trouble if there’s anything to report. Levy looked properly annoyed (whilst obviously oblivious to his role in yet another fuck up).

Fanbase is the worst I've seen for a while. Perfect storm of things

- Expectations vs reality: being involved in title races and cup finals within memory for vast majority
- Not winning anything for 16+ years
- In a permanent 'rebuild'
- Time and expense of following Spurs, one of the priciest clubs to support
- Ange is a frustrating figure - "it's who we are", "I don't want to be falsely rewarded for subs", and so on

Adds up to tempers fraying and the lack of patience.

Without fail every season turns into a transitional season.

I don’t think Ange helped himself by insinuating this season we could be title challengers.
I’m not sure if that was just pressure he was trying to put in the players and adding some self belief or if he really actually believed it himself.

Arteta as much as he's a prick, spent his whole football career at the highest level and was in his first job.
Arse also progressively got better under a young manager learning the ropes.
We have an old git at the end of his underwhelming career making us as bad as we have been in the ENIC era.

Yet STILL people use Arteta as an example of why we should give this useless coach more time.
Coaches should earn time, not be given it.
