Manager The Sack Race

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Fonseca it is then for the rest of the season!!

What could possibly go wrong?
At this point - not much.

If we fall further down the table, even Uncle Joe would have to take notice that Levy's fucked up and changes have to be made. Doubtful Levy would get sacked or walk away, but might cede more authority on the football side and/or force Lewis to spend some money.

If we stay where we are, then we'll have sacked the fraud at least, and crossed Fonseca off the candidates list.

If we unexpectedly improve is probably the secret worst option, because then we sign Fonseca to a longer deal and we're possibly back here in 12 months when the new manager bounce settles.

Fonseca is a decent manager so there's just as good a chance that he works out to at least keep us stable.

This Milan stint has been a disaster but he is not solely to blame for it. His Lille and Roma teams did well.

And that's the potential upside. He actually works out.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but it's possible.

Hell, he could come in and win the EL for us. I'd love to have to hire a not-first-choice candidate because he won us a trophy, and the most meaningful trophy in nearly 35 years at that.

How can Rooney justify his compensation at any team he's coached at? He's fucking awful. Clearly was just a skilled footballer, but I don't buy this 'footballing brain' thing, I don't think he had it, just good movement and good feet.

How the fuck he's survived this far into the season is bizarre. Maybe they can't afford to sack him.

On paper I think that our squad would be suited for Fonseca. His Roma and Lille teams lined up in a 3-4-3. But he's also used the 4-3-3 a lot.

Not saying that he should be the one. And he likely won't be since we failed to secure a deal with him post Mourinho but it is fun to talk hypotheticals.

Sounds good to me!

I just want to feel good about watching us without the sense of an impending disaster just round the corner!

I want to see the back of Ange standing on the touchline glaring at the players without appearing to try and motivate them!
