Oh give it a fucking rest you dribbling little rat.

Everytime someone posts anything you even vaguely disagree with, you label them as trolls and encourage blocking.

He’s not a troll. At all.

Can’t handle anyone disagreeing with you, get the fuck off internet forums and spend your life in your basement alone.

Clown.

Thanks mate.

If I was trolling you’d think he’d be able to make a point I couldn’t disagree with but I’m not trolling so as soon as he can’t argue a point he starts calling me a troll.

Yes we have and Ange has been appalling throughout the whole year, I don't know what this has to do with the point about philosophies though.
You agree we have a better squad than the 4 teams mentioned yet we sit below them in the league! So my point about philosophies is, if we had a manager who's footballing philosophy and tactical nous and man management style was at least on par with those other managers we should be progressing better than them?
I think we both have our opinions of Ange and Ange-Ball with neither of us understanding the other, so I think we should agree to disagree👍

Yeah he does. Not usually in ways people want him to or in the traditional ways that fans and pundits like to talk about but the adjustments happen.

Results are results though and they’ve been shit for a while. He can’t get shit results forever and stay so really that’s all that needs to be said in this thread atm

Adjustments that only the genius Postecoglites can see I guess.

We're not even disagreeing with this point so what are you talking about lol

The original point was about philosophies, not about whether Ange ought to be doing better, please follow the conversation and try not to twist things to suit your own argument, cheers.

Or in ways that turn games in our favour. That’s the key point

It’s a pretty feeble “point” to make that he adjusts things but they rarely, if ever, work!!!!!

:)

He’s made plenty of half time tweaks that changed games in our favour. We conceded first in most of our games.

There was a game vs Everton I think but could have been someone else, Maddison playing well but we were struggling with them tactically in MF, he subbed Maddison and we tore them to pieces.

The problem we have is physical not tactical imo. We struggle when we can’t impose the game we want physically

Thanks mate.

You were definitely trolling when you attributed zero blame on the hamstring injuries to Anges system and claimed Richarlison never had a hamstring injury despite out manager stating he had a hamstring injury. People were posting past historical evidence of the exact same things happening and you stated it wasn't related.

That's the definition of trolling.

You were trolling when you basically stated net spend doesn't really matter as well...something you've only said recently (since Anges hiring). Previously the (valid)argument was that the chairman didn't financially back previous managers but this time he actually does and you now dismiss net spend.

I don't think anyone on that list of coaches we've had since I've been a fan is worse than Ange.
I don't think any of them were sacked when we were worse off on a PPG basis
Some serial winners, some club heroes, some very promising , a great man manager, and Mason and Sherwood.

We have both problems. Tactical and physical. And on the latter Ange appears far too blind to the limitations of his captain and a couple of other players.

The physical in part is likely connected to a loss of confidence as the results have gone south.

I also posted the link where it said Richy injury was thigh. if it was hamstring then fine I was wrong but only a madman would attribute his injury breakdowns to Ange.

I explained exactly why I’m not attributing this seasons breakdowns to Ange. Check the conversation I had with Incomplete_usernam Incomplete_usernam if you think that’s trolling, it’s because you want to think it’s trolling

I’m agreeing with you that Ange has picked his captain and it looks like the wrong choice because he can’t hack it physically anymore.

Changing that needs to be managed carefully though.

Toughest the PL has ever been my absolute arse. One team of any serious quality. Forest are fucking 2nd. City in turmoil. United are absolutely awful. Woolwich are worse than last season and Chelsea are a top 4 side at absolute best. Brighton are fucking mediocre and Villa are only a small step above. Howe’s Newcastle look great right now FFS.

Chelsea, Bournemouth and Brighton have younger squads. Other teams are a whisker away. What a terrible reason to be shit. Ange apparently wanted kids and was vocal about how happy he was with the windows. Got his 65 million quid striker too. We have no proven outstanding players? Guess that depends on your definition. We have a lot of very good players relative to the top 8 who we are now erm .. all below.

Flawed is a fucking understatement. He has us facing down a relegation fight if we lose the next few games. We are bottom half. This is all happening in his 2nd full season after two transfer windows with 130m+ spent on players he apparently wanted. We have lost to Ipswich at home and Palace with zero injuries, among other total embarrassments.

Pochettino took a squad widely considered terrible (worse than the one Ange took over with far less resources) and polished it very well indeed. Shit turned south at the end of his reign but all managers will eventually fall off, you don’t expect it in the 2nd season.

Almost any coach of real quality does better right now, let’s be honest about this. Waaa waaa injuries, as if it isn’t partly his fault and they haven’t been an issue for him at other clubs. We have 3 starting XI players out - put your big boy pants on and grind out points. We looked about as shit as Wolves with home advantage.

Comparing Ange with Poch is insulting to Poch. One made us a team to be feared, the other a team other sides are excited to face. We are a joke. A giggle for rivals. Haha aren’t spurs entertaining under the Aussie clown, aren’t they fun as we watch them concede 6 and run in to each other. Fucking hell..
Well said that man

People have completely lost their marbles with this Ange cult

I’ve posted before that usually the club leak out players are fed up with training but they can’t do it this time because players keep coming out and backing the manager. So that key indicator isn’t there unfortunately and I have to agree. There’s always a tipping point though isn’t there. If newcastle come at the weekend and smash us 4 nil then surely that will be it, if not, I’m not certain they will sack him at all.
I think that was just some late night delusion from me, that the club might actually have some awareness that this cannot continue. But it appears we're sleepwalking towards another weekend, with another three points thrown away with no real competitiveness.

I think what's frustrating is, that there's no way to know where the people above the manager are at mentally. Man Utd are a joke right now, there's no question. But at least everyone knows that they're aware that their current level isn't good enough. Because they've sacked a manager. They'll probably sack another one if they're like this for a while longer.

With us, everything seems on the table. Are they thinking this current coaching set up is at the end and they're just looking for the right moment to make a change? In which case why drag things out? Are they thinking, trust the process, no panic, see it through. In which case, are they out of their fucking mind? Or are they just paralysed with a sense of, "what do we do?"

I think all of those options are on the table, which just drives you crazy.

His adjustments are normally within his system all the changes happen. But the truth is we cannot keep the ball or dominate the possession like he wants.

In previous jobs Ange has relied massively on player transfer churn. He hasn’t had that at Spurs. The fact is numerous players don’t fit his system like Bentancur and Bissouma but both are still here.

I think it is not going to work with Ange there are too many problems obviously exasperated by not having our first choice keeper and centre backs. The fact he also ignores a lot of the smaller elements of the game that make up the game.
All throw-ins are short.
No fouls in transition.
No set piece specialist
Play inside forwards as touch line wingers
Play out from the back no matter what with no variation.

We do have a coach focused on set pieces and they’ve improved a lot from last season.

I’ve seen Forster go long in plenty of games.

Agree on the transition fouls. It annoys me but he has principles I guess. There’s nothing stopping the players from just doing it though

Agreed Poch had a much harder job as well as he had to ease out bad characters like Adebayor and rely on a young 20 year old striker with little to no Premier League experience.

It is no coincidence that Poch turned Palmer into an absolute superstar. The man and his coaching staff knew how to train players. The man also had people running through brick walls for him.

Ange is shit but one of the reasons is because he doesn’t think it is important to get the best people possible in.
