Yeah I wouldn't be getting your hopes up with Kolo-Muani deal happening. I'd imagine we'd need the Werner contract terminated before this even becomes close. I can't imagine Levy signing off on them wages unless Werner is out the door and even then its still a big doubt. I'd say highly unlikely deal- 10% chance maybe

The lad can play but I don’t want him. Although he walks into our first team.

He’s a bringer of chaos and sometimes that is really good…. He looks like he’s going to mess something up and then before you know it he’s beaten 3 players and made 40 yards….he can finish when he’s in the mood… he’s quick and skilful…some days he’s world class.

Other days he’s just a shit Dembele.

And I never feel in the big games that he’s going to make a difference.

Maybe I can’t get over the pain of that save by Martinez.

Brennan Johnson though, so....

Our attack is currently utter shit. We have one useful forward Solanke. Son was great but he isn’t the player he was, he has lost his explosiveness and I don’t think he can now play as a winger certainly not a touchline one, he needs to be a second striker but we don’t play that way. I don’t need to comment on the others.

For a team that plays attacking football to have a barely mid table attack is pathetic. Even Ipswich with Delap and Hutchinson have a more dynamic looking forward line than us. We don’t even need that much to upgrade our attack just someone mildly dynamic.
Odobert and Kolo Muani on the wings later this season sounds pretty sexy to me. Would look MASSIVELY different than what we have now.

The issue is even a shit Dembele is still an upgrade in terms of general play than what we have. Our forward line Solanke aside is pants.

If we wait until the very last day of the xfer window, Levy will only need to pay 3-1/2 months of wages- he’ll like that!

We don't have a midtable attack, though.

Liverpool are the only club that have scored more goals. We're on track for 80 goals scored in the league.

We've only scored 80 goals in the league twice in 60 years.

People are completely misguided in what the problem with this squad is. The defence is rubbish. Undisciplined, uncoordinated, chaos created by a manager who has no actual idea of how to defend...just go score, score, score.

He's a buffoon.

And let's be honest, I like Solanke, he plays for the team, with and without the ball, and brings some good qualities, but he's a little bit lacking in ultimate quality at times. If we bring in two quality wide forwards, then that is less of an issue.

With on that. Solanke if he had that extra bit of quality would be almost Kane like but he doesn’t however as you say he works his bollocks off. We are unlike to buy two wide forward so I am interested in seeing what a forward line of:

Odoburt Solanke Kolo Muani

Can bring. I think a much more aggressive attack would help us a lot.

So we have scored a lot of goals. Do you not think a lot of that is down to how we play? I doubt we would even be much more than half of that if Jose was manager, it’s a hyper attacking system where the midfield and defence are involved heavily in scoring goals not just the attack.

The issue with the quality of our forwards is that so few of them are good in general play. Solanke is great, can pass, hold up the ball and press. Johnson, Werner are generally weak and Son is in decline. That affects how we press, how we retain possession, how we break down teams. Our first line of defence is our attack and our ability to retain possession prevents counter attacks. The balance of our forward line is poor. It’s not good enough.
