They pad their stats with (taxpayer-funded) overtime pay... like Salah does with penalties.

As we discussed the other day…
Things are not good right now.
Our investment in top quality young players will start to pay off. Not this season. Maybe not next season. After that.
You can piss your pants for the next 18 months or just stay calm and support the team.
We're shit because we're being managed by a moron, however. But not so aligned with any tangible reality.
Bragging about how great our business apparently is and how we will have a top squad for years to come while *checks notes* battling it out with Palace for 15th just seems like something we'd piss our sides if any other fan of another fanbase was coming up with it.
We are currently shit. Maybe the business will all come good and everyone will flourish to their potential, but they also might not as happens all the time in this sport. As of now the business we've done is doing fuck all for us and we are a truly disgustingly shit football team given the spending. That's not being a "trauma hound" its just an honest an accurate reflection of a side spending 300+ million in two windows but sitting 3 points ahead of a not even doing well for them Crystal Palace.
We're shit because we're being managed by a moron, however.
With a proper manager we'd be 4th-6th, and if we were in the bottom end of that range and not competing for trophies everyone would be well within their rights to blame it on ENIC.
Step 1 to sorting out the mess is sacking Ange and hiring a proper manager for this level of football.
Totally agree. As we discussed the other day…

Purchases have been good. Coaching has not.As we discussed the other day…

Mate, the one thing we don’t struggle with is scoring goals.
Solanke btw has 7 Prem goals and 3 assists in early January. So 10 Goal involvements in 17 appearances. He’s no longer a 1 Season wonder.
Just one more should be fine- and a real second LB too if we want to be safe.Problem here is with VDV we're not looking at potential injuries, he's halfway through his second season with us and he's now on his fifth injury. His availability is somewhere around 50%. Romero I have a feeling he'll be offskis in the summer and Dragusin just doesn't look comfortable with this sort of football. Davies was doing an admirable job up to his injury but I doubt he'll be here much longer.
I think we really do need more CBs.
Nonsense- they'll all score more goals together.I’m not on about now, I’m saying if we play 2 natural wingers = leaving both Son and Johnson out, we’re going to be reliant on Solanke as our only threat.
The season isn’t over. We haven’t finished 12th in the league. You are fixated on the fact we are currently 12th which is just a snapshot of the season. It’s a moment in time.Yeah I'm really tired (and I know I'm not the only one on here) of it being implied that if you're not a wide eyed optimist (based on nothing else than hope, you HOPE it will pay off, you don't KNOW!) you're hysterical. Lots of teams have invested heavy in youth in the past and it hasn't worked. It is far from the guaranteed success strategy that football manager enthusiasts think it is - we don't have stability and a good mix of current top players to go with the youth. Our squad has huge gaps.
Actual reality (its important we deal with facts) = we are worse off than ever in the league, our biggest star is clearly in decline with nobody able to replace what he provides, many of our top players will not be happy with zero european football. You seem to be demanding endless patience with teenagers, i.e NOT what people were promised with the new stadium.
You can be as optimistic and reasonable as you want on a football forum, it won't change the FACTS of where we are in the league which is all that matters.
Well according to some they want to sell PSG to buy Spurs, so why wouldn't they?
I don’t disagree.Purchases have been good. Coaching has not.
It's great to have a lot of young talent with potential, but if you don't have a good coach with winning tactics, you aren't building much of anything, are you?

This is why your view is hysterical - you have an intensely short term focus and so you constantly think the sky is falling on your head. If you take a slightly longer term view then it will smooth out your emotions and give you more room for optimism.
If you enjoy being hysterical about the football team that you support then go for it. But it’s a choice.
We all agree that results and performances aren’t good enough this season. You can call it hysterical all you like man. We are unlikely to finish outside the bottom half. We definitely aren't getting in to European spots barring incredible form we haven't seen since the start of Ange's time in charge. Next up? The Emirates. We could be 14th after that one and level with 15th. Still then have to go to the Bridge and Anfield this season.
The league season is essentially over already, short term focus or not. None of this is an emotional take, it is simply dealing with the facts. Results are king in football, not your emotions on how much you like our young talent and hope they will flourish. That isn't factual. It is just you, as a football fan, hoping they meet their potential.
I am relying on results, on current reality. You are relying on maybes. If you enjoy doing that then go for it. But it is a choice.
We all agree that results and performances aren’t good enough this season.
Is there a single person who disagrees with that?
Daniel Levy clearly thinks things are going according to plan or he would have sacrificed Ange looking at his MO .We all agree that results and performances aren’t good enough this season.

Did you start dribbling at the end ?Daniel Levy clearly thinks things are going well or he would have sa rifiv
