I'd love to say it was the correct call but that would be a lie. It was an absurd penalty to give but they cheat every game so fuck em. Even that game Trossard was pushing defenders out of position to stop them playing offside from a set piece.
They deserve every shit decision they get but that was a shit one
No set piece goal, no saka so useless.
If they loose to united at the weekend, could be some arteta out calls
The most pointless booking ever is the goalkeeper for timewasting, everyone knows they (in particular as a position) are never going to get sent off for timewasting.........so it inadvertently has the opposite effect to that intended, as they can now waste time knowing there is no consequence
It was a clash of heads
If you see it as an intentional headbutt I'm all for it but then it had to be a red card and long suspensionHe moved his head at force and butted him clean on. A clash of heads is accidental. There was absolutely nothing accidental about this. There was nothing but intent.
At first look I thought it was very soft and VAR would overrule but if you go for a tackle and don't get the ball and take the player out it's a foul so why should it be different for a header? If you see it as an intentional headbutt I'm all for it but then it had to be a red card and long suspension
It's weird their results seem to be worse since he got injured and they had a dodgy patch when Odegaard was out too. City were also winning before Rodri was out for the season.
I guess that’s fair but again, if Romero got the ball on a clearance then took a man out and it’s a red card, why would a headbutt not be reckless endangerment as well?At first look I thought it was very soft and VAR would overrule but if you go for a tackle and don't get the ball and take the player out it's a foul so why should it be different for a header?
