But we were shit when everyone was healthy.

We weren't great but but we still were no where near as shit as we have been without our best defenders and a lack of ability to rotate in a number of areas in the pitch, including up front, has made things worse as the season has dragged on and the players we have available are becoming more fatigued.

Were we struggling to find consistency in a very competitive league - absolutely - pretty much the same as everyone else bar Liverpool. We went over this yesterday but were 3 points off 3rd after beating City 4-0 at the start of Nov - which was our first game without our two first-choice CBs.

Things have taken a dramatic slide from then and we are, without a doubt, much, much shitter now than we were then.

I think, as with us under Poch, a 'normal' team (i.e. not financially doped) only gets one or two chances to win the Premier League before they start to get old / pick up injuries and naturally drop off a bit.
But with Poch we never really changed the way we played, Goons have gone into a Time wasting , set piece specialist, happy to park the bus and grab a goal on the corner, I think the last few years of being so close and getting pipped by Pep has gone to his Lego head , had he just kept it more of the same then who knows, anyway I'm loving it so more of the same please!
I just hope we beat them soon and stick the final nail in!

Saka is just a big a loss as Odegaard, infact I’d argue an even bigger loss personally, league is over, it’s fell into Liverpools lap.

It had changed quite a bit by his last full season (CL run) - the high press had all but disappeared and we defended a lot deeper, mainly out of necessity as Walker was gone, Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Rose had all lost pace. Son and Moura had replaced Alli and Eriksen out wide and so we played a lot more on the counter attack.

This Woolwich team already have a bad reputation from all the dark arts and Tony Pulis antics at set pieces. But when the media finally names Partey then it'll be the icing on the cake. Everyone will see them for what they are
