The manager of the club that plays at the glittering Tottenham Hotspur stadium was taken to ET by part-timers playing here

Over the entire 120 minutes we had 7 shots on target. Their keeper had a fairly comfortable 90 minutes, other than some good saves he made against Madders.

So that's after we scored the 3 goals in ET.

Listen, being down on yesterday's performance doesn't automatically make you Ange out, plenty of Anges defenders on here have also said yesterday wasn't a good performance. Defending that mess yesterday just seems deranged sorry.

Have to agree - I'm supporting Ange until there is no more Ange to support, but yesterday should have been done and dusted in the first half.

I get there are a lot of excuses why it wasn't but it should have been.

That being said, I'm not sure it is any more relevant than us beating Liverpool 4 days prior. Neither tells the whole picture of our season or where we are as a club - all we can say is that we won and hope that we continue winning the rest of the season.

At his best the results were very good, but the football itself was always murderball. I don't think Conte ever had a good run where the football was fun to watch.
Depends how you define fun. There were games against Woolwich, Chavs, Dippers and Newcastle where we either outright destroyed them or in the case of Liverpool went toe to toe. It wasn't all out attack but it was hugely fun in the stadium and the place was bouncing.

Woolwich are absolutely beatable at the moment so you will be disappointed if we don't beat them and yet according to you we struggled to beat a non league team 🤡🤡

You should just probably at this point log out for a bit to clear your head, just spamming a pile of dog crap in here, honestly.
We barely beat Tamworth. Where is this false confidence coming from?

Blah blah

We needed ET to have a meaningful chance. We had a spell in the 2nd half where the CM and CB passed the ball between themselves about a dozen times.
They absolutely should have on in the 90 based purely on what matters - useful attempts at goal.

Kinsky
Porro - Drag - Grey - Reguilon
Biss - Sarr

With Spence as the only backup

This will be our defensive engine for the foreseeable future. They desperately need minutes on the pitch together to work on passing and movement. Reggie hasn't played regular football in a long time; and its essential he gets plenty of minutes before our big fixtures.

This game was treated as a midweek training session and served its purpose. We got valuable minutes with these guys on the pitch. Kinsky looks strong. Reggie has done well and Bissouma is starting to rekindle his flair.

Sarr, Madds, Johnson, Son, Kulu, Solanke barely broke a sweat, and Bergvall / Moore did the majority of the 'work' going forward, with Biss doing all of the midfield work Sarr was mostly a passenger).

I've no doubt the game was exactly how we had wanted - albeit an early goal in the first half would have been expected.

Did you actually watch the game? This is a massive reach mate. We were a 90th minute defensive block away from possibly the worst result in our 143 year history, certainly the worst in living memory. But it wasn’t just the scoreline because I appreciate that sometimes you can be very unlucky and have efforts cleared off the line, hit the woodwork numerous times or their goalkeeper plays a blinder. None of that happened. The whole performance itself was shocking. We looked so toothless against a very poor side. I mean Tamworth might actually get relegated and end up playing my home team of Hornchurch FC next year they are that bad. Ange is very very fortunate that his team didn’t make history of the unwanted kind

Thats a lot of whataboutism.

We might have lost, but we didn't. We won 3-0. Their players barely touched the ball. Did you really expect us to play at 100% attack and full press on a frozen plastic pitch? Even more so against amateur footballers who can very easily make rash and mistimed tackles.

Plastic pitches don’t really freeze. That is one of the reasons for having them.
We gave up 13 attempts on goal to a very poor side including 8 shots inside our box so you can’t just say they were long range efforts. There is not much whataboutism at all. Up until extra time they probably had more attempts than us until they tired. They had 2 golden chances to win in injury time. A decent side would barely have let them near our penalty area.
Are you really suggesting that our players didn’t want to attack cos they might get hurt????
Terrible performance. We were playing Tamworth who in their division have played 24 matches scored 26 and let in 41. Have some standards Harry. We are THFC not Torquay. Expect more

Using the bookies odds we have about a 35% chance of winning one so a decent chance he has the last laugh. (And they like to make money so probably a higher chance than that).
Honestly I do think the original context was that he intended to correct a journalist, out of pride--"I haven't usually won a trophy in my second season, I've always won one"--and now, since it keeps being thrown back in his face at every opportunity, he feels he has to own it. I do respect that.

I remember well that interview, as he was been goaded into clarifying his statement. Im paraphrasing here but his reply was to the effect of, " Since you've brought it up, i didn't say I usually win things, i said i always have ".
