Well, for a club that is famously the ONLY non-League club to WIN THE F.A CUP (no one is EVER singing that) ...it would be a good 'First' to add to our list of unique achievements!!

First Championship club to participate in the CL... I can see it now!

Mind you, if City manage to somehow finish 4th, and get the book thrown at them in the Summer, they could be the first LEAGUE 2 club to play CL football, so, y'know... Grass isn't always greener!!!
Imagine us and City both in CL and Championship 🤣

Would be better than the PL

17 games remaining * 1.14 points a game = 42 points on the season.

I believe at this point that a Solanke season ending injury would relegate us.

We are in serious danger. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fucking kidding themselves.

Exactly this is Football we are in a relegation battle our team is on a knife edge with injuries & tired players as we can't rotate.

Look, I know it’s easy to joke about the idea of us being relegated and it seems so unrealistic (I almost didn't even want to post in here because I found the idea ridiculous) but the thing is, I’m genuinely concerned after looking at the recent numbers.

Our recent form is extremely worrying. The last 9 Premier League matches since the City win (which, imo, was our last significant win in the league because Southampton are terrible) we’ve earned just 5 points. Yes, 5 points...that’s an average of only 0.56 ppg.

If this form continues over the remaining 18 matches, we’re on track to earn just 10 more points.

Now, if my calculations are correct (and I’m not just having a brain fart here), that would leave us with a total of 34 points by the end of the season. That’s well below the “typical” safety threshold of 38 points that you often see. Of course, this season could be different given how poor the teams below us are, but the risk is still huge for us imo and I don't think we have the fight for it with these players.

At any rate, the risk of relegation is very high based on our current form – we’re looking at a very serious chance of being in the relegation zone at the very least if things don’t improve; I’m talking about the 99th percentile here based on this form, this is not a joke anymore, even I didn't realise it was this bad tbh.

Now, of course, this assumes our future form mirrors the last 9 games, which I don’t think it will. We’ll get more wins than that imo. But even with more wins, our current form still puts us at major risk. If we don’t massively improve and basically do a 180 on our current form, it’ll be tough to escape a relegation battle, now again, that doesn't mean we WILL be relegated, it just means, we will be fighting to stay up.

The truth is, with this form continuing, we’d almost certainly be fighting not to finish in the bottom three. This is purely based on the numbers, which are there for anyone to see if they care to look.

This is a massive concern for and for me at least, it really justifies moving the manager on even at this point. If things don’t change under Ange, or if we don’t make a change and remove him from his position, we could be in serious trouble here, we can all jest and make jokes but it should be a huge concern to our chairman and supporters imo.

I want to add to this by saying, obviously, we are still only in January and there is a LONG way to go but I think we should be very cautious about joking about this, we really need to put pressure on the board and manager at this point imo.

Exactly, and simply put when it comes to relegation, we should be taking absolutely no risks at all. Just sitting there going "hahaha we won't get relegated" literally means fk all. I prefer to look at the evidence, and that all paints a worrying picture.

If Ange isn't able to substantially turn around our form in the next 2 - 3 games, we are seriously fucked.

I don’t actually see where our next win is coming from

Our lowest PL finish seems to have been 93/94 under Ossie, 15th.

We last finished 14th in 03/04 under Pleat.

Next poorest finish was 11th under Ramos in 07/08.

Lowest finish since then is 8th (twice).

Another Saturday afternoon closely following the fortunes of the Bottom 6. This is what we are reduced to now. Palace winning at Spammers so we’re dropping to 15th and Bottom 6. Lowest in the table of the 7 London clubs as well.

The good news though is Leicester are losing at home to Fulham and on track for a 7th successive defeat. Dr Tottenham can’t come quickly enough for Leicester next week.

Our only saving grace is that the bottom four are that poor they won’t be able to get more points than us.
Luton went from in 18th with 26 points .
We are nearly safe but we are not winning any cups. You need to have one eye on not conceding in cup games to go through.

We could be 17th and still totally safe . Leicester got 14 points from 22 matches, they may not get another 14 in the remaining 16 weeks. Let alone getting 11 more than what we'll get. Wolves got 16 from 21 and will play Chelsea (A), Woolwich, Villa, Liverpool (A), Bournemouth (A) in their next 5. Same thing as Leicester, they'd be lucky to get another 16 let alone outdoing us by at least 9. Not to mention Ipswich and Everton.

That being said, league campaign seems all over. Even EL football looks like a pipedream at this point. I guess that's why they're not fussed about these losses piling up.
