Spurs Announce their new signing to save the season.........

Seeing his hammies go ping after attempting a run would be a small ray of sunshine in this otherwise bleak season.

We hardly played them off the fucking park though, did we? They had the better chances throughout the match, we got very lucky they couldn't convert any of them. Granted Solanke's goal probably should have stood as well but they fucking humped us 6-3 at home not long ago in the league, that should be all the evidence you need that a lucky 1-0 home win is not going to be enough to get us through to the final with 90 mins at Anfield standing in the way.
Whatever, we don’t get to make those excuses for the games we lose when we should have won.

I thought that until yesterday but the teams heads have dropped and i dont think the senior players are playing for him. Yesterday Everton could have had 6 or 7 it was that shambolic. We have 1 league win in 10 games and that was Southampton. If (big if) Wolves and Ipswich string a couple of wins together then we're in big trouble. We still have to go to Anfield and Stamford Bridge, City at home and trips to said Ipswich and Wolves.
Doesn't help having Son as club captain. Can you imagine someone like Dave Mackay putting up with this shit? He'd probably march straight into the board meeting and demand they did something. Not really Sonny's style is it?

I'm so tired of hearing this...

We do not need a top coach to improve on the current shambles, just one that knows his arse from his elbow will do!
That is true.

And money does talk. Though it may not just be Levy's wage budget that is limiting us ... we are steadily becoming more and more of a joke, and a club that is known for not prioritising on-field success. Which player and coach would choose that over a similar offer from a club that does want on-field success?

Agreed- if we get to final and win that final, it would be success.

But I absolutely feel that you are picking very much the parts that you want to believe in.

We actually had two games with Liverpool recently.
In first one, where there was no do-overs, they came out and absolutely humiliated us at our home. Scoring 6 goals. And basically took pauses of playing football when they wanted. And when we decreased deficit, they just started playing again, scoring exactly when they wanted.
In 2nd one, they always knew that it is first leg and result can be corrected later if needed.
In that one they rotated and decided to play weakened side.
Jota -> Diaz
Bradley -> TAA
Tsimikas ->Robertson
Quansah/Endo-> Konate

All four changes were made on purpose and knowingly making the lineup weaker to give some players rest. In which they have a chance for re-do.

In home game they do not have re-do anymore.
Now you can take your pick - if you want to base expectations on other game where they did not have chance to put things right later... or on a game where they did.
The first one also had our entire 11 the same as the one who played 2 days earlier whilst they were fully rested.

The second one we were pressing them off the park until Bentancur got knocked out and changed our shape. We still won it and deservedly

20th of January and still no other signings. Does it even matter who the current/next manager is?

The board sack Ange, get someone else in and 18 months later we are back here again. This is our club's cycle, poch/redknapp being the only exceptions to this and yet, they were also hounded out of the club in the end (as they pleaded on their hands and knees to be backed)... and now we move onto the next... Surely this pattern is visible to all by now

Does it matter? No. No it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter one bit. Get someone else in and set them up to fail

You know what the worst thing about the last 15/20 years is? Yes of course you do, you're all Tottenham fans and bore witness to the megablebness... I am of course talking about how our club wasted the Premier Lesgue's most prolific due in the competition's history. Once in a lifetime. Thanks suits, thanks a bunch.

Wait what? You mean there's more? Ah yes... you stuck the most expensive tickets smack bang in the middle of the stand that you built yourselves that was made to provide the atmosphere in our new stadium and ripped off TFC's 1882 in your marketing

I offer a rethink of 'Freed From Desire'...

Big Ange don't get no money
He's got his strong beliefs
Big Ange don't get no flowers
He's got his strong beliefs
Big Ange don't feel my pain
He's got his strong beliefs
Big Ange, no longer funny
With all his strong beliefs

"No false rewards", "play the game not the scoreboard"
Coaching is tough, but we can't take no more

Tottenham's on fire
Ange sits there and says "it's fine"
Tottenham's on fire
Yet still play with a high line
Tottenham's on fire
Self-destruction by design
Tottenham's on fire

Ooh...
This is absolutely fucking brilliant.
Sadly matchday fans can't remember that many words, which is why the only loud songs you ever hear are the easy and short ones.
We've got Ali
Antonio
Ange Postecogluuuuuuuu

My conspiracy theory:

- I wonder if Levy hasn't signed anyone because he knows the way we're going might mean Ange is sacked soon, so he's not spending any money on helping the side for that reason, and will sack Ange in February to save himself spending any more money in Jan. Would be typical of him.
Been saying since November we should replace him before the window opens and, if not, don't buy players for him. Waste of money.
It's a major PSR issue to sack your manager and then have to replace him. This is simply not just a purely footballing issue, Levy for sure is just hoping Ange can drag it out till the summer without getting hit by anyore ridiculous results.
That's a new one. We can't sack a manager who is going to get us relegated because it's bad for PSR.
Fucking hell mate, have a word with yourself.
Are West Ham, Man United, Leicester, Southampton, Everton and Wolves all going to be knee deep in PSR shit?
Course they fucking aint.
