I think the next three fixtures we get some good results. Probably not as good as they should be (we should be winning all of them). But good enough that this fever pitch settles down slightly.. Because ultimately, if you're a professional football team you can't lose to Hoffenheim, Leicester and Elfsborg. I just don't think that's possible thankfully.

Then look at our February. We're getting butchered every game. I don't doubt that for a second.. The season will be well and truly over. We'll be out of every cup and it'll be too late to then do anything. Another season wasted.

The defense of "hey we're still in three cups, it can still be a great season". Yes, precisely. It still could be a good season. That's what a lot of us have been saying for months. But it cannot and will not be one the way we've been playing for 10 months.

You usually only see such shambolic performances on the pitch once a manager has "lost the dressing room", that he hasn't, and this is how they are playing whilst still behind him, demonstrates that his Management/coaching must be beyond dreadful.

In short, "the players are playing for him" is no reason at all to persist with this.

If “the players are playing for him” and these are the results we’re producing, what’s the difference if he’s still got the dressing room or not?
 
What I don't understand is if Levy isn't going to sack Ange then why isn't he backing him?
I could understand the position if we had some outfield players signed the first week of the window but the fact our only signing has been a GK speaks volumes , if your not going to sack or back him then what is the plan??

oh they should of had double figures easily with what they was up against. it was a fucking embarrassing performance from chelsea. it was so amateur from spurs it probably caught them a little off guard. it was a once in a lifetime game where you play 9 men with them all standing on the halfway line waiting to chase your through balls. dumbest shit ive ever fucking seen.

The plan seems to be for players to return from injury.

Then we’ll hear more tripe from the r/coys set about how Romero and VDV and Solanke returning are like three massive transfers and that the ship has been righted, Ange has pulled us through, glory be to him

I'd be more inclined to suggest that under this guy, it doesn't matter who we sign. No new signing, or tweak of formation, is going to alter the fact that he is utterly hopeless.

OK, we sack him today. The squad is currently on it's knees, they are visually knackered (which is being touted as them 'downing tools' which of course is ridicules). The injured players, out for months, won't be back up to speed from the off. They will obviously need time to get back to their best

Meaning; Over the next two months, what would a new manager change? Moreover, how could anyone change anything the way the squad is currently (someone said the other day that we should be starting Yang, Moore and Lankshear and that they would relieve the fatigue. No honestly, they really did)

"Is Ange the right man?"

"He just isn't good enough"

"His squad has been decimated so it could be argued that he hasn't had the chance to perform"

"Ange is to blame for the current state of the squad"


We may well see the current manager lose his job and on form, again, the fan base will be right back here in 18 months. Sure, we are in 15th place in the league right now but does it really matter where we finish? Honestly?

Say we did finish in the top 4 this season/any season, would you say we are going to win the Champions League? Are we set up to win? Win anything? Ever?

Obviously the answer is no. No we aren't set up to win anything. We haven't been set up to win anything for years so what does it matter where we finish in the league, which cups we get knocked out of?

"Ah yes well, if we finish in the top 4, we can sign better players", which of course is a massive bubble, right? I mean, ask yourself, who have we signed when we have played champions League that are these so called 'better players' ????



We sign a new manager today and we are back here again in 18 months, slating off the players, the staff, even each other. Again, does it matter who the current/next manager is?



Look, I honestly believe that everyone on this forum only wants what is best for this club. The count offs happen but the reason they do is born from a place of wanting what is best. But surely this cycle is obvious to even the count-offyest among us, no?
 
I saw a stat about we’ve only got 30 points from a possible 87 points I believe running into the back end of last season.

I don’t know what we’re waiting for. It is lovely football at times going forward but every team knows what we do, the team has been found out and Ange doesn’t have a plan b.

We do not have enough quality to keep digging us out of holes like Kane used to and we’re leaking more goals than ever.

We need to get serious about this relegation battle, you can’t feel confident in them winning any game at the moment. 1 point in the last 5 games, we have an all out attacking manager that doesn’t know how to play defensively and the only way you get yourself out of a relegation battle is by tightening up at the back and stop leaking so many goals.

Romero and Van Der Ven will not miraculously solve our issues if they come back to a team that’s been battered every week and low on confidence.

We really need a caretaker manager that knows the premier league well to step in until the end of the season at this point

Maybe just gambling that we’ll win a few when players return and we bin him off the end of the season.

The fans will turn on Ange though. Sunday could get very toxic.

And only weeks before, we came up against a team down to 9 men.
We toiled all match and barely had a sniff until an injury time OG.
And Liverpool had a good chance to snatch a win before we scored our winner.

Like I say, I wasn't convinced DURING the mythical 10, much less since them.
