Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wow, look at everyone overreacting to what is totally and completely a non-story.

Of course he would have to think about his place at Spurs. This is no different from what every one of our top, top players have said each season for years, now.

I love Hugo

But his rushing out at every opportunity is becoming borderline erratic and is bound to cost us dearly. In fact - you could argue it has already done so this season against Liverpool, City, etc. Same today - completely unnecessary at times and uncontrolled.

I think having someone quick off his line is fantastic but he needs to calm it down a bit, imv

Please Hugo, slow down

Had one good save today. Other than that I think it was his worst performance in a Spurs shirt. Even when letting in 5/6 he's at least had several solid saves. Today he was horrible.

rushing off his line is a big part of his game. Think we need to accept he that he will make the odd error of judgement. Doesn't bother me too much as I know he will save us more points than he loses us. One of our few consistent players in a very patchy and disappointing season

I feel he used to rush when he needed to rush last season, recently it seems he comes off the line just for the sake of it, like he's embraced being called "the best sweeper keeper in the prem/world" and tried to outline it in the way he plays

No idea why he kept coming off the line today. He usually makes pretty good decisions, but today he had a couple blunders that could have done us in.

the guy is pure class and even yesterday when he came flying out and forced the attacker to try a weak chip which Daws easily cleared was proven to be a good decision regardless of what the cunty commentator thought

anytime he comes off the line and forces/rushes the attackers to make a move which results in a missed opportunity I'm good with it as unorthodox as it may seem at the time

very rarely does his rushing out result in a goal but it frequently fucks up a good opportunity for the opposition like almost every match

Fairly certain the knock on his head against Everton has affected him and his decision making.

I reckon this line of thinking is pretty much bollocks and bandwagon jumping at its finest. He's been playing goalkeeper his whole life so he's likely had a good few hard knocks to the head and concussions over the years it's part and parcel with the position.

Watched a Pat Nevin bit on Lloris on the BBC a while back about whether he is "Risky or Brilliant" and I think what he said is very true. 19 times out of 20 Lloris will save us with his maverick goalkeeping, that one mistake is worth it for the other times it does come off.

As far as I'm aware, he's never suffered a concussion previously. I wouldn't say it's ''it's part and parcel''. Only Cech and Lloris have had really bad ones that I've seen or remember in the Prem. I play goalkeeper (if you can't play football, play keeper), worst I've had is a pretty hard shot to the face.

It's not bandwagoning, it's an assessment of his performances and decision making since the incident. Post concussion symptoms include attention problems, a key component to goalkeeping, so it's not sensationalist to suggest he's been affected by it.

comparing Cech and Lloris injuries is more bollocks tbh

one was life threatening and the other the bloke played on making afew saves

people see what they want to see, imo he's exactly the same keeper he was before the Lukaku incident

It's not a comparison. It's saying that those are the two worst head injuries I've seen, rendering the guys unconscious. Of course Cech's was worse, I'm just saying that it's not part and parcel as you suggest. If it were, we wouldn't be able to identify such incidents so easily as they wouldn't be so rare.

@ Mad Yid Mad Yid - forgot to quote

Edit - It's not even that common in boxing. A sport where getting leathered in the head is primary.

spot on in my opinion.
Some commentator on the stream i was watching yesterday made it sound like lloris rushing out for that chance where whoever it was chipped it over him and dawson cleared it away, was the footballing equivalent of Germany letting hitler rise to power.
i though it was great goalkeeping. If he hadn't come out, whats to stop the striker belting it in the top corner whilst lloris is rooted to his line?
