Still makes me laugh people think Iarola is gonna suddenly up and leave his post to come to Spurs right now, the guy has got Bournemouth on a European charge, they're getting close to top 4!

He wouldn't be staying solely for that reason, he would be staying because he'd have more options in the Summer plus the offer from Spurs on the table.

He could also have a rough end to the season and have less options.

Football is about earning as much as you can in a short career. If you don’t have a CV of winning things to fall back on, you take the offers when they are there. Can’t afford to take anything for granted.

Cool this doesn't change the fact that his stock is high going into the Summer and he'd be much smarter to hold out until the Summer.

His stock is high right now. He can’t take it for granted that it will get higher. If he gets offers he will take them.

Bournemouth as a club would accept the money too. Are they really set up for a European season?

This isn’t me justifying Spurs getting him btw. I’m definitely not saying that. I’m saying as someone who has followed Iraolas career, he should be pragmatic about his career and take the money if it’s there.

Not when that Bilbao job could be up for grabs in the Summer, that will be his first choice.

Managers don't tend to move mid season for a reason unless it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and Tottenham isn't that especially in the state we're in now.

Bilbao would be a big emotional pull for him definitely but that job isn’t up for grabs and he can’t take it for granted that it would be.

These agents/players/managers don’t think like fans. They have to take the money when it’s there. Unless they are one of the established elite who know it always will be there.

But better off waiting to see if it is to assess his options, that's the sensible choice.

Not every manager or player is the same, not everyone moves for money especially to somewhere where you're under pressure straight away and putting themselves at a disadvantage.

No mate, it really isn’t. Taking the money when it’s there is the sensible option when you have a profile like Iraola that is still being built.

Bournemouth will want to get him to sign a new contract soon or lose him for free. Last thing he needs is to get locked into a long contract with Bournemouth

Considering the fact that he already turned down the Leeds job when he was offered it when he was at Rayo which was considerably more than what he was on then then I suspect he would think the same here...

I don't get your point about the contract either, if he doesn't want to stay at Bournemouth then he won't sign a contract, simple.

Leeds who were getting relegated and Rayo who were having an all-time great season. If a better club than Leeds were knocking, like Brighton for example, he’d have gone. The rest is PR

Bournemouth won’t wait until the end of the season to push for a new contract.

Yes Spurs who are 15th and missing half a squad and Bournemouth who are having an all timer and are on the verge of a CL place, sound familiar...

You're just speculating on what he would have done, you don't know that. What we do know is that he has turned money and prestige down before, we have evidence of that and he is likely to do it again.

Still don't know what you're on about regarding the contract thing btw.

My top target is Nagelsmann. If Levy can convince him to leave Germany and join us that would be great. Otherwise Iraola.

My concern with Iraola, and others like Silva, is that they did their magic at small clubs. Their tactics looks good. Remember, team don't play Tottenham (in general as a club) as they play Bournemouth. Like it or not, we are still a BIG club and teams treat us as such. Most will park the bus. Against Bournemouth, most teams will be more open and more attacking. So, it's challenge and a step up for Iraola. Naglesmann is one who proved that he can adopt, adjust based on the type of players, the expectations, the opponent. Just my opinion.
Naglesmann too arrogant. For me top target is iraola. If not poch.

Bournemouth absolutely stomping Forest today- Iraola looking like the best candidate by far now.
Silva not churning out the results quite as well lately. Frank is... Frank.

Right now I'm hoping Iraola comes in the summer.

Levy could quintuple his salary and he'd still be cheaper than Dame Edna....and money talks...
