Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It’s a bit mad isn’t it. All this power I have in my fingers (I’ve often been complimented on my fingering, but not in this way) and my iPhone. From 500 miles away. With a few keystrokes, I can make our side lose matches.

I’m not sure how I’m doing it, but I need to find out how this superpower works. Would be nice so I could reverse it and we could maybe win one or two.

If we do, you’re all welcome. It won’t be an uplift in form, new manager bounce, good luck or any of that bollocks, it’ll be me and my magic fingers.

Mate, take it as a compliment. I’ve had posters come at me on their first post back after a ban saying I need to be held accountable for this mess 😆

I tell you what though, I wish I was getting Levy’s salary as well for creating the troubles of our season from my iPhone

I just tried google translate and set it to bullshite… it says “ No one wants to manage Spurs “

Or we are too cheap to pay him off?

It’s something to do with money or the club being sold, because it’s nothing to do with what’s going on on the pitch. Can’t be or else he’d be gone. Think about it for a minute. Given levy’s history of sacking managers there’s no way he’s keeping him in the job unless something else is in play.

Fuck i knew we had issues as a Club, but damn it didn't dawn on me that it's on you.

Delete your account. :ange-confused:

Apparently he has a "I always win in my second season" Clause in his contract , if we do a Jose and sack him while still in the cups we have to pay him double his payout!

Text exchanges between Ange & Levy...

Jan 1st

Ange: "Hi Daniel, hope you're well, mate. Listen, could really do with a LCB, LB, winger and CF. Possibly a CM too."

Levy: "No problem, I'll get Johan on it right away. COYS, Daniel. "

Jan 5th

Levy: "Got some great news for you, Ange...Johan's got you a backup keeper from Czech Republic. Only 21, plenty potential!!! COYS, Daniel."

Ange: "Yeah nice one, I'll have him. How about those key positions I highlighted, though?"

Jan 8th

Ange: "Hi Daniel. Any news?"

Jan 12th

Ange: "Hi Daniel. Just checking you got my text last week? Couple more lads got injured, really need reinforcements. Please let me know."

Jan 17th

Ange: "Sorry to pester you, Mr Chairman, but we're getting pretty desperate over here..."

Jan 27th

Ange: "Hi all, apologies for the group message but I can't seem to get a hold of Daniel and when I went up to his office this morning, his secretary had security escort me back down. Obviously a misunderstanding. What is happening with transfers? Anyone coming through the door today or tomorrow?"

Daniel Levy has left the chat.

Donna Cullen has left the chat.

Scott Munn doesn't know how to turn his phone on.

Johan Lange can't find his phone in the dark.

Gareth Southgate has waved at you.

Read it again mate.

It said both Ange and Iraola play intense football that causes injuries. Also said Bournemouth injuries aren’t key players and more crucially they play once per week. All factual statements. But he also said Ange won’t be helped by Iraola finding ways to win despite injuries
They are key players for bournemouth just because not as well known as ours. Probably arguing same side of the coin here👍

I have never seen a manager clash with his fans like this. There have been managers who have been verbally abused and they take it. Its part of the job when results are bad. What is to be gained from clashing with the fans? ou cant win a fight with the fans

Its League Cup or bust. literally, win the League Cup or its over.
The only other event in recent memory that I can remember were someone in the club had a go at fans was when Dier stormed the stands. And that was only because said fan was actively involved in some form of scuffle with Dier's brother.

This is twice or maybe even three times that Ange has actively had verbal arguments with the fanbase.

Every player in a PL squad is key to some degree but take Zabarnyi, Huijsen, their 3rd CB and their GK out for 2 months and make them play twice a week for those 2 months, are we really saying they are on the form they are on?

I really doubt it. I think Iraola is probably less stubborn than Ange and would have made more sacrifices to the way he plays for results though.

To Americanize this, you are making a comparison between a RB coach at an SEC powerhouse who everyone knows is just there to recruit players and has never shown any path upward to a coordinator or a head coaching job versus a decorated champion at D2 or D3 who has never been at a big time school.

The D2 guy may be utterly and transparently out of his depth when given a major job, and sure, maybe that's Ange. But that guy is a real coach and the recruiting ace isn't, and would do much worse still in a head job without enormous support.

If anybody thought Mason were a real coach he'd be in League One by now.

It's possible Ange could relegate us, but I doubt it, he's never shown anything close to that with anything close to a full team. Mason really could though.
Yup

Is Mason was any good, he'd be managing on his own somewhere by now.

He's comfy at Spurs
