Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can only assume Levy is waiting for Ange to resign from this shit show.

I never ever wanted Poch sacked, I wanted him to get better backing after the Champions League final season. Some people I know still want Ange here, I admit he did seem a good fit initially but that’s gone by the wayside now.

Last time we lost to a team that lost 7 games in a row prior to playing us we went on to win at Anfield! :ange-arms:

Synchronously, our team look very similar to Super Pav, confused and not understanding the coach.

Hence Harry’s “Just run around a bit”… so now, and how we could do with the equivalent of him right now (or Defoe etc who Levy signed that January Window..).

Or we are too cheap to pay him off?

It’s something to do with money or the club being sold, because it’s nothing to do with what’s going on on the pitch. Can’t be or else he’d be gone. Think about it for a minute. Given levy’s history of sacking managers there’s no way he’s keeping him in the job unless something else is in play.

I think all of us are just guessing , it’s utter chaos & of course no communication

Id love it to be a sale of the club but I just can’t see it .

Heard this morning - and apologies if it’s been mentioned on here already, but I can’t be arsed going through all the pages - that his payoff is significantly larger if he’s sacked whilst in a cup competition. Source works in football, but not for us, so not sure how good this info is.

And he didn’t just say “significantly”, he said “SIGNIFICANTLY’.

It shouldn't even get that far. Why does he "deserve" these cup games? The league is your bread and butter - the results have been beyond bad for months now. You have to play the same standard of team at the end of these competitions, and we've proven that we can't deal with ANY opposition. I don't understand how he's been given such a soft ride by a section of the fan base and leadership, I really don't.
In Australia Postecoglou did media and some motivational speaking. He knows how to play to an audience. I believe he talked himself into a job he wasn't qualified for and now is being maintained in that job because of the fan base he cultivated. From a football standpoint, his system is a mess. The problem for Levy and the board is admitting (first off to themselves) they hired an unqualified manager. Their next problem is how to get rid of someone who has established a cult of personality with a significant portion of the fan base. We're stuck with this guy.

Believable. Levy would rather write off a season than pay a few mill more in compensation. Bet he didnt think we'd be in a relegation fight though.

I cant see it. He's witnessing our worst form in 50 years, seeing players getting constantly injured and losing their value, tickets being harder to shift, derision from the fans and a chunk of the media (all well deserved) and unlike Redknapp in January 2009 he hasnt backed him. Its down to money and timing.
He's proven for decades he doesn't known his arse from his elbow. He probably genuinely believes everything will be OK when a few players come back.

Likely too fucking dim to understand that as players are coming back, other players are getting injured. Everything about this is completely unsustainable. We will not have more than a handful of games a season where nobody is injured. And that's the style, the training, the lack of rotation all if it. It's Ange 100%

But there are a concerning number of people completely enamoured with him. And I worry Levy is dumb enough to be one of them.

My only hope is the pathetic experiment with keeping him on way past the point he should have gone, finally proves time is not a solution to bad management.

I don't care if we change manager every 18 months. We have to keep trying until one gets a tune.

Great to see the unbiased BBC are running a poll on who's to blame for our struggles.

Ange
Levy
Ange and Levy
Player Injuries

Are the four choices.l - and of course the poll is open to everyone - so totally scientific......

FFS - the level of journalism at that "good old boys" BBC club is Talkshite levels of Shite.

Agreed. It's odd. None of the usual suspects have come out with similar, which always happens when the usual suspects have been briefed. But there's not been anything.

Also it looks like gold tweeted at 6am so he must have received his info early morning or late last night. I wonder if he's gone early and his info is now out of date.

It is just impossible to know with these idiots. Gold definitely sources stuff properly so wouldnt have come out with that without a couple of people telling him. The rest of the journo whatsapp group havent said a word though have they, which is weird.

Nothing seems to make sense anymore.
