Why does anyone think that getting Iraola as manager will make us great again? If prime Poch,Mourinho and Conte can’t get us up there then please fucking realise it doesn’t matter who’s in charge. Yes,he’ll make us better but we will never be who we want and could be till the powers that be get to fuck.

The next manager will come in and I’ll get excited then 2 years maximum down the line we’ll be in here saying bad shit about him too.

I can’t believe I’ve got to the numb state of supporting this club. We all just want something great to happen and that’s what kills us every time.
Is anyone saying it will make us great again? Fact is its better challenging for 4th than being in a relegation fight. We all know why we dont compete for the serious prizes but you can still do a reasonable job here even with Levys glass ceiling.

I’ve reached the point where staying emotionally neutral about the manager is no longer possible. Against my better judgement, I held onto hope that he might turn things around. While I’ve been critical of him in the past, I’ve also tried to balance that with moments of fairness and even praise when deserved.

But that’s over now. I no longer want him at this football club. For me, this goes beyond results now, it’s also about the man himself. He doesn’t deserve the privilege of managing a club of this stature. He lacks respect for the club, the league, and, frankly, the fans. I find him obnoxious, insincere, and PAINFULLY insecure.

Let’s be honest, at this point, Ange’s only selling point for people who still want him is his personality, because the football is devoid of promise. We’re not even entertaining anymore; it’s as dull as the worst days under AVB or Mourinho. Predictable, lifeless football, just dressed up with a sprinkle of salad dressing to mask the mediocrity of it all.

He may well be a great dad, a loving partner, and a decent person in his private life, but as a football manager, he’s one of the most arrogant individuals I’ve ever seen, with absolutely no justification for it. He’s simply not good enough at this level imo.

From this point on, I’m done giving him the benefit of the doubt. It would take nothing short of a miraculous transformation in form to change my mind.

I’m not sure even a trophy would convince me. Europa League win might sway me slightly, but let’s face it, a trophy didn’t save Ramos, and it shouldn’t really save Ange; at least in my eyes.

To use his own words against him here, Ange would be falsely rewarded if he won a trophy considering the season we have had, isn’t that how it goes according to his own logic?

He’s out of his depth, and he’s drowning the club along with himself.

Ange OUT.

Laughable that the club think we will get a result an Anfield with Ange as manager. Truly laughable. They are fucking deluded. He has properly conned Levy and co with his bullshit hasn't he?
No.

Ange had to take the job.

How could he not?

The plan now is to sack him, after the window closes, so Spurs have no opportunity to seriously back him with players for now.

Every manager is set up to fail with the make do and mend approach to building a team.

Every manager who has avoided the sack after 18 months has either been denied the players he needed to build further or had key players from their team sold against their wishes.

Nothing changes until the owners change.

Bingo.

Levy seems to at minimum invest enough money to see us competing for 4th-7th in the league at least. Probably never for the league title. But there's no reason in terms of money for us to not be in the upper sections of the table.

A good manager can also combine that with the odd cup run.

This sounds absurd and maybe it's just a knee jerk thing to be saying, but I'm genuinely feeling like this might be the sort of thing that ends my support for the club.

It's like I've had this realisation of utter incompetence and negligence at the top, that it's run by the very worst sort of cultists on this forum that are taken in by Ange's guff and who don't have a clue about what they're seeing on the pitch.

It already felt a bit grubby supporting an entity run by such wankers who are only in it to enrich themselves, but the fact they're clueless on top of it too... I've just never felt so disconnected from this club and the portion of the fanbase that clap like braindead seals at this shite, singing that clown's name.

Not even sure it's possible given how addicted I am to Spurs. I say each week I won't bother watching this one but there I am at 3pm on the dot like some crackhead. But I do find myself caring less, watching games through my phone. Never used to do that, even under the worst days of Mou and Nuno.

And tbf I have been considering it for some time, finding some League 2 outfit to support, partly cos it feels more real, partly for being priced out of going to games, partly because of the way the Prem is going with all the money and grubby characters involved, the corporate nature of it all. And maybe this is just the straw that breaks the camel's back. I don't have any connection to Tottenham the area. Dunno.

Thing is I just know as soon as I quit we'll hire Iraola and win the league.
That was me I was out. I was done after Sherwood, then Poch bought everything and my love of watching Spurs back. Then since November 2019 when I found out he was getting the sack. This club has just put me through tribulation after tribulation supporting it, First it was terrorist football now it is we can' t play football.

The whole point is rocking the boat, no?

We can’t say that we want Levy to break the cycle and then complain when he does.

I have no time for his football decisions at all but we did ask him to stick it out with a manager.

Yeah, a good one.

We're 15th FFS, Levy used to sack managers for 'only' finishing 5th.

If they want him to stay then back him, it's pretty obvious we need to strengthen the squad.

We are in a fucking relegation battle, nobody ever asked Levy to stick with a manager in a relegation battle.

Unprecedented levels of failure and it is gross incompetence to not rid of us the reason for that failure.

Naaah, the squad that played yesterday was more than enough to beat Leicester, and probably is good enough to at least compete with most teams outside the top 6. We have a manager issue, and he should be sacked asap, giving opportunity to someone that can use our players to their strenghts and has some tactical awareness.

Levy sticks by a manager who got him into a relegation battle but sacked a manager who got him 4 consecutive Champions League qualifications, two title challenges and a Champions League final.

Why does Levy do these things?

What is the common theme that motivates these decisions?

No, I know you're just being glib, but it just felt characteristic of the "a manager can solve this" attitude that I just cannot fathom still believing.
Poch had us 2nd and into a CL final. Emery took Villa from relegation to the Champions League. Eddie Howe took Bournemouth up 4 divisions, and Newcastle from relegation favourites to top 4. The right manager can do a lot. Winning something major under this ownership isn't unfathomable, it just requires them lucking out on the right manager. Which they've done about three times in 20 years so I don't hold out much faith in it.

Man, I just truly do not understand this perspective.

He's a football coach who is stubborn about playing open, aggressive tactics. It's really not that dramatic.
