Player Jamie Donley

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

certainly not the pace (although Kane was not fast at that age either).

Physicality I'd agree with although there was a great photo of Donley jumping with Haaland from last year when Spurs played ManCity ..... and Donley prevented Haaland getting the ball. Donley's 19 and has some growing and muscle to put on, so re-assess in a couple of years, but atm, I think he has all the attributes to being a great no 10 or 2nd striker.

Think he could play inside right as well. The same way Kulusevski does.

He doesn’t have big power or speed but lovely technique and creativity. Needs to position himself for a Maddison type role.
It’s a problem in modern football, some jokers will already be comparing his accelerations and top sprint speed to other more athletic players.

Before these stats were available, players were judged on actual footballing ability. Not so much the case nowadays.

This is why I keep saying why do we buy young players and give them minutes but our own youth we don’t play and either sell or send on loan. Even most on here always come out with crap like they need to go on loan. Instead it should surely be give them minutes in our first team. No one can tell me that players like Devine and Donley would be any worse than Werner, Johnson, Sarr, berg etc. same with the keeper we buy a 21 yr old for £12M who gets game time immediately. Yet our own GKs we ignore. It’s like if you buy they are better than ones we have already. On Donley why can’t he play the kulu role centrally. Look at silva for citeh his not big. I’m sure he could do the same.
