I'd swap him for VDV on the basis his hamstrings work.

However, if we change manager I'm keeping VDV as he should be less injured then theoretically.

I’ll get ripped for saying this but I think his potential is much greater than Romero or VDV. He will be at top club soon, no way he is Everton long term. Other than experience his skillset is so all round, great on the ball, great off the ball.

At the time lots of us who had seen him play for Blackburn knew it was worth going for him.
Yep - just as many have said it was worth going for lots of other players who have turned out to be nothing special. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. So with respect, your comment adds nothing to what was being discussed - fans want lots of 'next big thing' players, a few of them will be great, most of them won't.

Tottenham want to get something else done before signing Eberechi Eze

Tottenham’s former scout, Mick Brown, has confirmed that Eberechi Eze features prominently on Spurs’ summer wishlist but suggested that the North London club may not make a move for the player until they address other areas of the squad.

Eberechi Eze has been mooted as a target for Tottenham for a long time and the speculation linking the Crystal Palace man with a move to N17 has once again intensified ahead of the summer window.

Tottenham want defensive players before Eberechi Eze

Mick Brown, who remains well connected with those who work at Spurs, confirms that the former QPR man is a player that the North London club have had their eye on for a long time.

However, he suggested that an attacking midfielder will not be a priority for Tottenham this summer, backing the club to sign a number six before they push ahead with a move for the Palace man.

When asked about the speculation over Eze’s future, Brown told Football Insider: “I know he’s one Tottenham have been looking at for a while. Eberechi Eze is very talented and he’d be a good fit for Tottenham under Postecoglou. Crystal Palace don’t want to lose him, though, he’s still a very important part of their side.

“For Spurs, they’ve got players like James Maddison and Kulusevski who play in his position and are prepared to run with the ball going forward. So they can cope without Eze in the meantime. They’ve always got some good technical players, but it’s not what they need right now.

“But when it comes to holding the fort, that’s where they’re lacking in numbers. I think they’re going to prioritise strengthening defensively with players at the back and in midfield before they focus on attacking talents. Then, when they’ve addressed those issues, I expect Eze will be a player they make a move for.”

I wanted Eze bad in the summer. I’m happy we didn’t pay the rumored £70 mill for him. He’s not a consistent difference maker.

So you believe that only one club made a bid for one of the most promising English talents in the world?

I rather believe what Wharton himself said
"I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and to play for such a big club like Crystal Palace is a great honour," Wharton said in a club statement. "The way they've brought players from the Championship and developed them into world-class players in the Premier League is something that stood out to me, and it's a big reason why I wanted to come here."
sorry where in that quote does it indicate anyone else came in for him??

Can’t do deals for more than one player at a time…..😂😂

If Levy picks the right candidate for our next coach, we can challenge for the title as soon as next season.

dondo You think I'm being funny, but prime Poch with this squad would have been more than a match for Slot and current Liverpool. In fact Poch would have been the very kind of manager to coach actual wins against him. Our team is very close raw talent wise, but the tactics are way too high risk and backfiring greatly against quality that Ange has never had to coach against before.
