Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think back to our 1-0 loss to Woolwich at the beginning of the season. And our last 2-1 loss.

If you get yourself into the top range of quality, beat who you’re supposed to, and play smartly on the counter against your rivals, you can very much win the title that way.

Poch was damn close, and I think this team is potentially better that that one raw talent wise- especially at full health and with 1 or 2 adds this summer.

We don’t have a manager that can conceptualize how to do this right now because we don’t have a manager willing to change tactics.
I don't see it mate , especially with regards to the raw talent in this squad vs the one that Poch had

But there is no doubting a competent manager could sort this group of players out

We don't have the heavy-weight spine that Poch's team had.

Peak Toby & Jan
Peak Dembele
Prime Eriksen
Ready for greatness Kane.

That's the first class shit you can build around...........We haven't been able to consistently win the midfield battle since the end of 2018.

Most of our current best players are deemed so based on what we assume they'll become.

A lot will depend on whether we are playing Champions League or not. Let's face it, we aren't going to finish top 7 or 8 so our best shot of playing European football next season is to win the Europa which gives you a seeded slot straight into the Champions League group stages.

For me, with or without European football we need shot of Romero (sell), Bissouma (sell), Richarlison (sell), Werner (don't take up option to buy), Foster (out of contract), Whiteman (out of contract), Soloman (sell), Reguilon (out of contract), Gil (sell to highest bidder or loan).

Incoming without European football should be Cardoso and that's it... we will only have 38 games plus the usual 2 or 3 in the Cup comps before we get knocked out.

Incoming with Champions League football should be Cardoso + Kimmich on a free + another striker

Not sure about Tel... still need to see what he can do between now and end of season.

lol have you watched cardoso? He’s really not very good and no where near prem standard.

Kimmich… really…no chance he comes to us he’ll have way bigger suitors looking to pay him massive wages.

Cardozo may not suit being a lone pivot in a system that Ange plays, but to say he’s nowhere near PL standard is a big leap. He’s big and physical, if anything he looks like he would do well in the more higher paced league.

We certainly need a destroyer and someone who can get around the pitch.
haven't seen much of him but apparently he was great vs Real today.

Has challenges with consistency it seems based on appearances but the undeniable facts are that he has now completely bossed the midfield against Barca, Real, and Atleti.

If he produces that level consistently he will have no issues against PL midfileds.

Talent-wise, the team with Kane, Eriksen, Dele, young Son, Walker, the Belgian CBs and Dembele was a clear level above the one now.

Arguably we have some better depth now though.
