Werner is on 165K per week and Ndombele was on 200K - Coman is in 270K until 2027 - big difference - at least in my world it is.

Three points to consider …

1. The top end of Levy’s wage structure is 200K - Son is our current top earner at 190K and even Kane was only on 200K when he was here (along with Ndombele - f’in disgrace) - Rumors that Kane was being offered a lot more to sign an extension but no way to confirm that … and even IF true that was for Harry Kane not Kingsley Koman.

… and would Levy really break our wage structure to bring in Koman as the highest earner at our club - I think it’s highly unlikely.

2. Levy will give the likes of Werner (165K) and Perisic (190K) big wages for Levy (still within our wage structure)- but only because they came on loans and free transfers - Koman isn’t a starter but he’s still a solid squad player for Bayern (unlike Tel who they “gave “ to us for a bargain 10M loan fee) - Doubt Bayern would give Koman to us for free and even then I doubt Levy would pay the 270K in wages.

3. We go for 18/19 kids now and Koman is 28. Again see Tel.

For these reasons, the rumor seems non-sensical to me. - They’re just making shite up imho…

My mistake thought I saw somewhere he was out of contract soon.

Yeah, no chance we touch that or any other club. Only way bayern shift him is by subsidising big chunks of his wages

He’s versatile—able to play as a winger on either side, a central attacking midfielder, a central midfielder, or even a false 9. His creativity and passing outshine any of our current midfielders. Let’s be real, though—he wouldn’t join us even if we made an offer. He’s got better opportunities elsewhere.

People like you still stereotype Asian players as mere marketing tools. That mindset? It’s outdated. Maybe a better education growing up would’ve helped you see that.

The floor of the squad has been raised. We have less properly dog shit players clogging up the squad than we used to.
We have lots of very good young players for rotation who will be improved next year after the minutes they've played already. Players like Bissouma and Danso would have been nailed on starters for us 4-5 years ago, they are now squad players.

What we lack now is any elite attacker. Son and Kane carried us for years in that respect (alongside prime Dele and Eriksen) but we now look very light in that area.

3-4 signings could have this team back in the top 4, just look at what Villa and Forest achieved very quickly with some good recruitment.

I'd focus on signing nailed on starters in the following 4 positions in order of priority:

6: Upgrade Bentancur and Biss
LW: Son is finished
RW: Johnson is not good enough
CB: we need a consistent starter of a similar level to Romero and VDV as they can no longer be relied on

The disappointing thing is that this list is precisely what I was asking for at the beginning of last summer. It's been very clear where the squad holes are but as an unserious club we still go the cheap route with the likes of Werner/Odobert etc.

Ange is making our squad look worse than it is. Any half decent manager would have us top 6-8. Add a few quality signings and top 4 is very achievable.
