Ange has a very strange approach .

He allegedly does not spend time on the training ground leaving it to the coaches .Yet he does not take his own coaching team with him and will work with whoever is there at the time. This was an absolutely ridiculous approach to take right from day one . It makes zero sense to me and alarm bells should have been going off immediately, this begs one question.

Why did I back him for 18 months ?

I really have no idea , I really don’t

I thought he knows his actions like these are going to be captured and amplified further, so he just did them more almost just to troll everyone. And you see the way he paced around, laughing slightly to himself, playing the dice motion (I thought he's playing rock paper scissor myself) during the VAR checks and leaning over to check the VAR decision looking 'surprise', to me he's just milking it all. Honestly I hated that.
reminiscent of late stage sherwood. who's most likely to start saluting him?

I think fundamentally, he knows he’s done and that he’ll be off at the end of the season so he just doesn’t care anymore. He’s checked out

I was sat quite close to him. During the 5-minute VAR fiasco several players came over to the touchline. Various coaches spoke to the players and tried to give them tactical pointers about the game. Postecoglou just stood there, totally uninterested, hands in pockets, feeling a bit cold.
After a while the players dispersed, the crowd was quiet and I shouted, "Well done Ange. Nice work there." He turned around and looked like he was just about to start screaming, but he thought better of it, turned back again and looked at the turf instead.
He's an awful coach and man-manager, I'm so annoyed that I got taken in by him, at the beginning. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until he turned on us before the Man C game last year. He's a fraud, totally out of his depth, and even if we manage to win the EL (unlikely, but you never know, stranger things have happened in football), it will be in spite of Ange, not because of him.

Imagine how big his ego will be if he does get us the EL lol. I bet the fans would sing his name in the ground and be singing for him to stay.

Levy needs to pull the trigger regardless of the outcome.

You know your time is well and truly done if even Mrs P turns against you.
He's not only a hopeless coach, he's a very dislikable human being too. Personally, I can't stand the arrogant, aloof bastard. Counting the days till he's gone.
If by some miracle we win the EL, he'll go down as our last two trophy-winning great managers - hardly fondly remembered.

he needs no asst coaches because he himself is not a Coach.
He is a football-philosopher and man-motivator e.g. Djed Spence.

I agree that, on the whole, he's getting it pretty easy from the supporters in the ground, the main flak is aimed at Levy. He hasn't dealt well with the odd spat, as he reacts quite aggressively to any criticism.

Dier already spilled the beans about Ange's training sessions/methods didn't he? He was trying to big Conte up by comparing him favourably to Ange in that regard, but reading between the lines it is clear that the latter barely does anything in the way of improving the players.

What we have been seeing on the pitch during nearly the entirety of his tenure only affirms what Dier broadly described, so I take his word for it. Half-pro members of his coaching staff most likely don't know any better. So players, barring a few simple gimmicks such as fullbacks clogging the midfield and low crosses, don't receive any -constructive- direction or feedback from the sidelines.

That's why, no matter who plays where, players look lost all the time. I can't get myself to be mad at them, because I pity them more than anything.

Comments are funny - ego of Alex Ferguson, ability of Darren Ferguson

Cracking Up Lol GIF

He made a comment last week which is pretty much opening the kimono to other clubs.

“I know what my responsibilities are and I am sure if the club decide to go in a different direction there are some outstanding candidates for it,” he said. “And you know what, maybe someone will think: ‘Ange Postecoglou is not a bad coach, maybe we’ll take a punt on him.’

Which all it says to me is whomever the potential replacement is, they aren't available until the summer window.

You know, it wouldn’t surprise me if Ange somehow won a trophy to go along with Graham and Ramos. Seems like the unlikeable managers tend to do here.

Why couldn’t we have Jol, Redknapp or Poch win something with us…

Perry groves on talksport reckons ange and players know hes gone. Not upto scratch. Simple as that.
Yeah, but Groves also thought we should have won by 7 or 8, but for Ramsdale.
Maybe he was still on a bender from last Tuesday with Merse and Adams.
(i know you'll get that reference)
Very few mate if any. Only cultist weirdos at this and that point.
There's a strange number of them, that's the oddest thing about all this.

Maybe he should go and give South Korea a go.
It's a growing sport over there.

And they may like the link with him having "coached the Son team from England"

He can add another letter too his CV too. A, J and K league.
Knowing him, he'd be likely to put "P-League" on there too.
