Our basic recruitment models are the same, the difference between them and us is scouting and pay, they have/had a Sporting Dir setup, same as us - they purchase players for the club, not the coach.

Delap hasn't really had too great a season if you were to judge it by goals and assists. Obviously Ipswitch are terrible, but if I were him I'd be looking to go to a team where I could showcase my offensive qualities for a few seasons before making a bigger move. And that would rule us out.
It just feels like we are a bit too demanding to accept a genuine rebuild where we take chances on a frontline fully composes of under 23 year old players. I wish we would but ya, nobody here would accept it.

I'm of the opinion that Johnson is probably going nowhere this summer. Same with Kulusevski. Vuskovic needs to be brought onboard immediately so he can get HG/CT status. I expect the Cardoso option will have to be picked up as it represents irresistible value for Levy and must be realized. If the Angel Gomes free transfer happens, I guess maybe that will green-light the sale of Bentancur but otherwise it appears maybe Levy really will extend his contract? 90m to pickup a young LB and a stud winger sounds about right for our business this summer: consider that they already hold a 60m option for Tel, meaning they've earmarked at least that for that position. This would make sense as it represents Son succession planning.

Surely one way or another we need to replace Sons contribution in the team. It's possible, though probably not advisable, that we have him for one more season.Wingers should be our priority. We have a lot of them though.

Hugo Ekitike is one several top talent being discussed in the past and few were convinced about him
Other are players who were convince about were Cole Palmer, Désiré Doué, Kvaradona, Khusanov, Kudus, Kim...
