I'm not saying we're surely going to win it but I'd take say 15th place and Europa league trophy over being say 8th and winning fuck all.
Which has been our lot for decades. The players all love Ange (despite terrible football, which completely unique in all my time as a fan). Whatever it is that's going on there represents our best chance of a trophy. Screaming Ange out at this stage is hilarious and class A delusion.

BTW, I would only consider keeping him beyond this season if we win the cup fairly convincingly with attractive Tottenham football. Can't watch another season like this.

If he does win the Europa I reckon he's absolutely certain to walk off into the sunset - as he did when qualifying for the World Cup and then immediately resigning in the face of so much criticism.

Win/win in a way. So many at Spurs want him gone but a Euro winning manager can name his price at nearly any other club.

He has had massive injury problems this year but so has every manager. Woolwich would still be in the title mix if not for long term injuries to Odegaard, Gabriel, Havertz, Jesus and Saka.

On balance I'd suggest semis of the Europa is good enough for another year. Who else realistically is available?

Thomas Frank. Oliver Glasner. Andoni Iraola.

If we want to win anything this decade it's Ange in. This man is changing the culture of this club piece by piece

He really isn’t.

He’s taken the club even further backwards in a short space of time than anyone realised was possible.

We need to hope he finds a way to win this trophy, then he needs to be gone because he’s proven beyond all doubt he isn’t a premier league manager.

Next season we need a competent premier league manager who can have this squad still competing and hopefully winning in Europe (if we win the EL this year) but also capable of having this squad where it should be in the league (I.e not languishing in 15th working toward 20 losses).

Once we have a decent Prem level manager, absolutely every piece of energy has to go into changes at board level and Levy being elsewhere, THAT is the culture change the club needs. Not whatever you’re convincing yourself Ange has changed.

This is the thing , I don’t think he is good enough and in a way he is lucky that we are way out the mix for top 4 as he can put all his eggs in one basket.

100% out. I really hope he can take us to a Europa League win, but the league performances and results are a sackable offence. My mind isn't being changed by a few good cup results. Even then, how many genuinely good performances have we put on in the Europa League, maybe 3?

If we win, I'll be very grateful to Ange but it's best for everyone that he is moved on at the end of the season.

I couldn't give a fuck if we win the final 5-0, he has to go.

The teams left including us are all pretty poor and likely wouldn't have a chance of lifting the trophy if it wasn't for the change of format with better teams not dropping in after going out of the Champions League.

This cup run (if we win it) doesn't paper over cracks, it papers over a fucking chasm.

You can’t seriously be comparing Woolwich’s “injury crisis” to ours? We had like 7/8 first teams out at the same time for2-3 months together with 3-4 backups.

Woolwich have not had an injury crisis this season. They just haven’t had any injuries whatsoever for the previous 2 seasons and are this year sustaining what other clubs go through normally and are calling it a crisis.

Should be gone regardless but I cannot lie, I'm a bit worried that Levy and how reactionary he tends to be, will change his mind and keep him if we win the Europa League.

I'll be interested to see the results of this thread should be get us over the line.
A cup win would be amazing, but the real metric of progress is league position.

We absolutely cannot get all dewy eyed about Ange staying on should we win the Europa.

He’d be gone by November and we’ll be scrabbling round for a successor mid-season which always goes really well, especially for us!

2 seasons
5th in the league one season, 2 semis and possibly a trophy. During a rebuild period mind you. Look at the squad we have, Solanke is our main goal threat for Christ's sake.
